An ideal place for a long weekend away with either friends or family. The Lodges are excellent Value for a big group and are clean, well maintained and well appointed. Two 18 and one 9 hole par three means there is plenty of choice for golfers. The bar offers good food and drink choices. at reasonable prices. The village has three well run pubs and is only just over a mile away. Also great base for visiting Stamford.

as a member of a golf society which meets up annually i am pleased to say we will be returning on the 10 of may 2013, we visited greethem valley last april and even though we had some very poor weather,which made us lose sundays golf the whole weekend was very enjoyable, the accomadation was first class and the staff were very freindly and kind,also a big thankyou to the members who made all 24 of us most welcomewe have travelled the whole of the uk over the years and this is 1 of the best venues we have stayed at

We did not stay at the Greetham Valley Hotel on this occasion although we have stayed in a lodge previously and found it to be very good.As we were staying nearby at the Rutland camping and caravan site which is only 5 minutes drive away , we decided to eat at the Golf club restaurant, the staff were welcoming and helpful, we found the lounge and seating comfortable and the food was very good, also good value for money.

This is a typical golf complex and conference facility with rooms and comfy beds, nothing fancy. Pleasant and helpful staff. This is a popular place, is child friendly and is very relaxed and informal. The lounge area is a great meeting place with atmosphere offering a bar and meals, although it does become a bit soul less once all the golfers have disappeared. A good stop over, but not somewhere i would recommend for couples. I stayed three nights over the Easter break and accommodation is clean, basic and minimal. So minimal there was no pen provided for me to complete the in-room customer care and feedback form. No complimentary water is provided in the room, so unless you are happy drinking from the bathroom tap, then purchase a bottle of water before you retire for the evening as there is no room service because this is a three star establishment. The bedroom was equipped with an iron clearly labelled 'do not use' as it had failed its electrical safety check two months previously. The bathroom was devoid of minimal necessities such as face cloth, beaker and shower cap. Housekeeping response was prompt when I raised the matter with them, but could not resolve, but It wasn't that important anyway, just nice to have. Which reminds me - had to run around the shower to get wet! So had a bit of a giggle and shrugged it all off. Food on the first evening was enjoyable. On the second evening ended up waiting about 45 minutes for a simple chicken burger and then had to send my food back to be heated up. Breakfast was good the first morning, and staff very friendly and helpful. Not so good on the last morning because I was a little later and the cooked food was only lukewarm. I might choose to stay here again either on my own for one night, or for a weekend of golf with friends. Overall, an enjoyable and comfortable stay and I came away feeling relaxed.

Even though we had hail, snow and rain it was an enjoyable weekend. Value for money overnight stay - bedroom was fine - until later in the evening when we realised it was directly below the ladies toilet and it was a ladies night function! Beware future travellers avoid room 102. Evening meal good and breakfast made with local produce. Exceptional service and a big thank you to the housekeeping staff. Oh and the golf was good too apparently.
