What a great stay!
My family and extended family stayed at Albany Ramada for SUNY graduation weekend and had a great stay! My reservations were messed up several times in the beginning so be sure to check them before your stay! The rooms were clean and the kitchenette was really useful. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, and the food was excellent! We enjoyed the pool and lounge also. The staff really made us feel very welcome and well taken care of. We all had a fantastic stay(there were 10 of us) and will be staying there again for our next visit.

This is an excellent hotel. The staffs are very friendly. The hotel is very clean and the hospitality is excellent. I will definitely introduce this hotel to a friend and I hope to stop by again very soon.

Average Stay
It is apparent from the moment you walk in the hotel needs a whole remodeling. Really needs new carpets. Overall though, the hotel was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The toilets for some weird reason were very low to the ground, and the bathroom also could use a remodel. It could be a very nice hotel with some major renovations. They did give us a mini kitchen in our room which was a nice bonus. Overall, I probably would not stay again because it was super outdated which made it seem dirty.

Stay at your own risk
The Ramada name implies a certain level of quality that was not met during our stay. Hotel is rundown and in sore need of repairs and upgrading. The stench of smoke and musty odors hit you in the face as soon as you enter the lobby. Our nonsmoking room reeked of smoke and dampness. The bathroom faucet continuously ran water (no way to completely shut off) and the vent in the shower was covered in mold. Ceiling tiles were cracked and brown in areas. Our other rooms tub also did not stop running and had rust all around the drain. If you are unlucky enough to be placed in the back building there is no elevator so be prepared to carry all your luggage up the stairs. Showering consisted of hot then freezing cold water. The hallways were dark and smelly. I would not recommend staying here= only a wrecking ball could fix this 1960s feel hotel.
