Following a cruise in 2012, we stayed here the night before our return flight to Canada and will do so again later in 2013 following another trip to beautiful Italia. Tucked away in a residential area, within easy walking distance to restaurants, two blocks from a local grocery chain, this hotel has small rooms which are so beautifully decorated and which contain everything one could need while awaiting an early flight back to Canada. Stunning modern bathroom. Delightful breakfast included with wonderful coffee, of course!! There was a bit of a problem with the included transportation to the airport the morning we left but I believe it was a bit of a fluke, and the staff fairly quickly arranged for another vehicle to pick us up.

The main reason for giving an overall score of 1 is that the hotel is providing misleading information, which is a mortal sin in respect to its guests who chose the hotel based on info provided. Quite a few things that are in the room description - even when booked through the professional Amex business travel agency - are just not there. Coffeemaker in the room was promised but absent, wifi was promised but since it is set up poorly - no correct certificate and malware warnings - not able to be used securely. The promised minibar is there but only come and water can be bought. Not a beer or glass of wine available. What is the point of promising a minibar( it's just a fridge where you can store whatever you bring yourself. Room service was promised but isn't there. Shuttle is promised but only in the morning. About 200 Italian tv channels but not international news channels (nor a guide with channels, takes ages to click through them to not find what you need). Rooms are modern, clean, and staff is friendly. Good for tourism if you want a mere place to sleep. For business travellers who pick this hotel and then find there is no wifi to work from your laptop, you have to go out for a beer, or cannot event get a coffee or tea at night, this is unforgiveable. Had I known this, I would not have picked this hotel. This is not a hotel with service for guests just a place to sleep run as cheaply as possible with no other service than breakfast. I feel misled,

We stayed in this hotel one night in November of 2012. The reasons I picked it was price, location (close to FCO), free wi-fi, free shuttle and complimentary breakfast. Everything worked out great. Shuttle bus was at the airport pick-up point (very easy to find) 5 minutes after we reached it. Our room was ready and beautiful (even had a huge terrace in case you smoke). The hotel definitely has elevators (some old reviews said that there were none). The one we used was large enough to fit 2 of us with 2 large suitcases. As we wanted to eat, we stepped out and walked to the left of the hotel toward the bridge which we crossed. There we found a small pizza place (Pizza Rustica) that had the best pizza I ever had (and cheap too). While we were eating outside, a number of locals kept coming in and buying there as well. On the way back to the hotel, we stopped at a small fruit/vegetable store and picked up some fruit. In the morning, breakfast was great - pastries, bagels, cereals, yogurts, fruits - something for everyone. And very good coffee.We also stopped at the large supremarket Conad next door (if you turn right from the hotel - 1/2 a block away) to pick up some wine for our cruise. Hotel shuttle took us back to the airport in the morning, and the driver was nice enough to drop us off at the Airport Hilton as we had bus transfers from there to the port. Saved us a long walk with the suitcases.All in all, it was a flawless experience and a great start to our vacation.

This hotel was perfect for my needs ¿¿¿ a relatively inexpensive place to stay for one night near the Rome airport to catch a flight back to the USA in the morning. The hotel has a free shuttle that picked me up and dropped me off from FCO. Their shuttle service seems to be a shared one. The pick-up from the airport was a Marriot Courtyard shuttle (that hotel is a few blocks away from the Comfort Hotel) and the drop-off to the airport was a plain van with no markings. I only had to wait about 20 minutes for a van -- I had my international phone so I could call the hotel -- so I don't know if the call prompted the shuttle arrival or whether it would have arrived anyway.. The shuttle location is to the left out the door of terminal 3. Keep walking until you reach a place where there are buses (e.g. tourist groups) and vans. Space number #19, I think. It says Marriot Courtyard. I went back to the airport at 8 am -- check to make sure if you have an early flight. They also had a complimentary breakfast ¿¿¿ various pastries, cold cuts, cheese, yogurt, cereal, coffee, juice and so on. Starts serving at 6 am. They also have a number of vending machines in the outer lobby for drinks and snacks. No restaurant in the hotel except for the breakfast room.The hotel itself is very clean and probably has been recently remodeled. The lobby has lots of comfortable places to sit ¿¿¿ various alcoves and side rooms. It is set in a somewhat mixed residential area with a few small shops on the street and at least one inexpensive restaurant. I got a quick take-out meal two blocks down the street (left out the door) from a pizza place -- 3 kebab skewers (2 euros each) and a salad for 8 euros. The pizza looked good but -- sadly -- none were gluten free.The room was fine for one person ¿¿¿ compactly designed with an open storage unit and a desk/television stand. Depending on how many pieces of luggage, it could be a bit crowded for two people ¿¿¿ but it was fine for me. The bathroom was nice although the shower cubicle was a little on the small side. I note in the pictures that not all the bathroom showers are as small as mine -- so you might ask about the size of the shower when checking in if that is important to you.The person at the front desk was very helpful directing me to various nearby shops and restaurants and helped me when I couldn¿¿¿t get the door to my room unlocked. they had a lock system I've never seen before -- you have to push the key into a slot on the wall next to the door and push at the same time. There was an extra charge of 2 euros for taxes that had not been paid by the booking service I used -- but I expected it since I was told on the reservation form. I couldn¿¿¿t get the wi-fi to work . Again, the front desk was helpful and logged me into what might have been a private network since my computer and tablet connected to the public wi-fi but the wi-fi wasn¿¿¿t connected to the internet.This was exactly what I wanted, no surprises. Once I booked a place in Brussels for an overnight stay only to find that it was really far from the airport and their shuttle was very limited. So limited that it didn't start running until 9 in the morning and I ended up having to pay nearly 50 euros to get back to the airport. The Comfort Hotel is just about 10 minutes from the airport (except if you arrive or leave during rush hour) so even if I'd had to take a taxi it would not have been too expensive.

The room was excellent: Nice, big bathroom, big/comfy bed, great shuttle to and from airport (a little hard to find going from the airport to the hotel though), great breakfast. The staff was very friendly and was a big help. Overall great experience, wish we would have stayed there the other nights.
