"a place to recharge the batteries"
Well my first thought is do I tell others travelers about this amazing place. I promised Phung, the hotel Manager,I would, so here goes. If you are looking for an eclectic, personal (only 16 rooms), homely, wonderful staff, amazing rooms with great bathrooms, quirky but luxurious beach interiors and a hotel that is set in a tropical garden with a small but adequate pool, then look no further. You will absolutely love this place which is right on the beach and set in a secluded alcove. It is edged on either side by two restaurants and further up the beach is a huge resort. The Pra Nang Lanta and the two other restaurants set up their tables nightly and offer dinner on the beach, so you have plenty of variety to choose from. Nothing is too much effort for Phung and her staff. We stayed there in early April after our daughters wedding at the Katathani Resort and it was great to escape the crowds and heat of Phuket. It did take over 5 hours to get there by van and two ferry rides in between. My tip would be fly to Krabi airport and your destination to Pra Nang Lanta Resort will be much shorter. Now I've let the cat out of the bag, please go, relax and soak up those massages!

Just amazing
We stayed here for 4 nights at the end of our 15 days travel around in Thailand. We stayed in several places but I must say this hotel was the best of all of them. Huge rooms, amazing bathroom. The food is the best we had in Thailand. Very romantic to have a BBQ dinner just 1 meter away from the sea on the beach. Quite place, very good for relaxing. If you choose to have a day trip you can take a long tail boat 100 metres from the hotel in the morning to the surrounding islands. But you can spend the whole day in the hotel as well, so you can enjoy a relaxing day on the rooftop spa looking at the beach. The hotel also has bicycles and kayaks which you can take for free so you can explore the coast and beautiful bays on your own. I would recommend it for families, couples and young people as well.

Nice quiet place on the beach
We stayed here for four nights at the end of our last trip to the far east. Having been to lots of different parts of Thailand we knew that it would be a quiet place to visit, but that was what we wanted after having a hectic time in Cambodia. We arrived late in the evening, but the hotel staff were very welcoming and checked us in quickly and showed us to our rooms. Both were very big and spacious (on the first floor) with fantastic balconies overlooking the beach, with seats, hammocks and an outdoor sofa! It was really pleasant sitting on the balcony of an evening. We had friends who were staying in a hotel on the next beach along, and whenever they came to visit they were made to feel very welcome by the hotel staff.The hotel is maybe not quite as polished as you'd find elsewhere in Thailand (Phuket, Samui etc) and could probably do with a little bit of spruce up, but then Ko Lanta is like that in general in my opinion and that is part of the charm!

Perfect!
This hotel is topluxury. I can¿¿t say anything bad about it. Perfect rooms, perfect beach, perfect view. I can recommend this hotel for anyone - couples, families etc.We stayed in the bungalow just in front of the beach and had a great balcony with our own "outside" couch and a hammock for chilling. The resort has a libary where you can get all kinds of books in all kinds of languages.

Try the BBQ dinner!
This is a review of the restaurant rather than the hotel. We did not stay here so can not comment on the rooms. However, we want to recommend their dinner BBQ. Get a table on their little lawn area. For 550 baht there's an all you can eat BBQ including a glass of wine. Service was excellent.... the best we experienced on Lanta. Nice relaxing music, sitting on a lawn right next to the beach, enjoying good food and tasteful relaxing music under some coconut palms. Perfect.
