We stayed at the Antony Palace Hotel one night after coming off a cruise. The rooms are clean and modern, located across a shopping mall. There is hotel shuttle service to both the airport and Venice (5 euros/trip - reservations required). We missed the shuttle service into Venice so ended up taking the train instead. It's about a 10 minute walk from the hotel and another option for getting around. The staff are friendly and accommodating and I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

The Antony Palace Hotel is the perfect place to stay when visiting Venice. Even though it is not in the heart of Venice you are only a shuttle bus ride away that only takes 10 minutes. The Hotel caters for all your needs, the rooms are a good size the beds are perfect and the rooms are kept to a very clean standard. The bathroom is a good size and the shower is good too. The Hotel Restaurant is excellent with good food and wine at very good prices. The Hotel runs a shuttle bus to and from Marco Polo Airport and also into Venice. The bus runs there and back all day so you have plenty of times to choose from. The staff are very friendly and helpful and they speak very good English. There is a good choice of food for breakfast either hot or cold to give you a good start for the day. There are plenty of shops to see as there is a shopping centre five minutes up the road from the Hotel. The name of the area is Gaggio and if you turn right out of the hotel it is a short walk into the little town. It is worth a visit.

A modern hotel in a semi industrial area near a busy road within easy reach of Marco Polo Airport and the town of Venice. Enough has already been written about the excellent shuttle service to both the airport and Venice. The staff are excellent in booking seats on the 7 seater Merc however be warned if you need to be on a specific time slot you need to book early as 7 seats per trip is not a lot.Also be aware that if you need collecting from the airport when you arrive you MUST email the hotel prior. The shuttle to the airport is 12 minutes and 20 minutes to Venice from the hotel.There is an excellent shopping mall close to the hotel with other outlets nearby, but why bother when the shops in Venice are a shoppers paradise with a wide range of prices. Shop around for bargains and don't forget to haggle my wife thought the handbags were excellent value.Everyone knows that to get around Venice and the many attractions you need the water transportation network to get around.Even now after spending 5 days using a purchased 5 day pass I am still confused as to how the ticket / pass works. We were never once asked to produce or show a ticket / pass and it seems a lot of paying for trips is either on trust or another system that I am not aware of.It takes sometime to understand how all the different waterway routes work it is very confusing at first but the main thing is that it is almost impossible to get lost.The hotel shuttle which runs every 30 minutes drops passengers at the central bus station in Venice which is where the roads finish and the waterways begin.Do pick the brains of the hotel staff who are both very friendly and proffessional they will offer unbiased opinions and help on places to visit and various ways to travel around ie public busses and trains.The hotel room was of a high standard, breakfast was ample and fresh typical Italian, do not expect a full English breakfast here. The coffee is excellent as are the selection of pastries and cakes.As already mentioned by a previous reviewer there is a very good restaurant opposite the hotel, be warned though, its German and there is horse meat on the menue, always request an English menue. Slightly further afield about a 15 minute walk is an Italian restaurant its near the church, turn right out of the hotel but ask directions from the front desk.For those that choose to have an evening meal in Venice should note that the last shuttle back is well before midnight and time should be allowed to navigate the walkways or waterways back to the pick up point. Get lost in the dark narrow streets or miss your water buss and you could miss your shuttle pick up.In this review I have tried to avoid being repetitive of all thats been said before by being constructive in other areas.In my opinion the ease of getting to the Antony Palace from the aiport whilst not the scenic route, compared with getting into Venice and "finding your hotel" is a big plus. The number of tourists we passed in Venice schlapping suit cases and baggs searching narrow streets for their hotel was mildly funny. The route to your booked hotel requires leg and pulling power from the canal drop off point.In summary, an excellent hotel value for money no doubt also a big plus.

Booked last minute, excellent hotel, beautiful on the inside, friendly staff who will do as much as they can to help/assist you, very good shuttle bus service to Venice. Overall we had an excellent stay and highly recommended for the price you pay. We also got upgraded to the delux room free of charge when we arrived as there was no doubles so that was an added bonus :)The only thing to improve would be that there should be some sort of transfer/hotel service to Treviso airport as we paid ¿¿50 one way to and from the hotel. There is a hotel service to the marco polo airport but not Treviso.

It is a totally new and modern hotel but I think they were trying too hard, the decoration is a bit tacky, which is unusual in Italy. But, the hotel, lobby and rooms are spacious and very clean, there is wifi everywhere, yeeeee! and there is a huge shopping mall nearby. I did enjoy my stay though, the food was OK, but nothing special, skip the dinner at the hotel, there are many more far more authentic places you could go to. Conveninet if you are with a car and wanting to be close to the highway.
