just an ordinary hotel dining room set out looks amazing sadely we only had to stop over for the night so we didnt get to share any of that experience...

Not my favorite accommodation to sleep.
Reception block was ok, also the people from the reception and in the dining room were friendly.The bedroom was something else. The sheets and pillows were very old and muff. Over aged bathroom with poor light.During the night the electricity felt out in our room and couldn¿¿¿t be arranged before other clients left the room where the failing switch was.The best thing in the hotel was the breakfast, although you had to wait for a long time before something empty was filled up again.In the future, I prefer to go some kilometers further over the Spanish border to find me a place to stay.

Good motel-style accommodation
We stayed at this hotel for one night on the way to Spain. It's about 20 minutes' walk from the railway station, so if you have luggage you might want to consider taking a taxi.The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The air- conditioning in the room was excellent, which was very welcome on one of the hottest days of the year. The restaurant was good in the evening, with all-you-can- eat starter and dessert buffets in addition to the ¿¿ la carte main courses. (And, yes, you can choose to have just starter and dessert!). Breakfast is served early, giving plenty of time to catch trains from Hendaye or from Ir¿¿n.However, the rooms are extremely basic and dated and could do with some refurbishment. The buffet breakfast was somewhat unappealing and of poor quality, and not great value for money.Much better value for money can be had in Ir¿¿n, which is just across the border and no more than 5 minutes' drive away.

Motel style accommodation
This is fairly standard travel accommodation. The room was comfortable enough but nothing special. The air-con was a bit noisy but we were able to sleep with no troubles. It is too far from the station to walk without luggage so we caught a cab and from memory that was ¿¿¿8. The staff were friendly and spoke English.

Functional but nothing too exciting...
Stayed in the Saint-Paul-les-Dax Campanile one night, and this one in Hendaye the next night - although the hotels are very similar, this one seemed a bit more modern.Rooms are small and basic, but functional - just don't expect any fancy extras (or room to swing a cat!). The reataurants are the best part of this chain of hotels, and I would recommend eating there.Not sure that 113.60 Euros for dinner, B&B represents excellent value to be honest, especially compared to some of the very nice hotels I've stayed in this year in Ireland...Although passable, I would try somewhere else next time.
