For One NIght Only
I would happily stay here again as a layover, the rooms are clean although a little dated, probably 60's and the decoration similar to a child's play school.Reception was pleasant and efficient, cannot comment on the Food as I chose to eat elsewhere but it did look quiet.Bathroom was again clean but the big problem was the shower hose, once it went above waist height there was a loss of pressure in the hot water, hence cold shower only ( unless you are of restricted height).Good location on the river bank and a secure car park.Easy to find and only 10 minutes from the motorway.

Good stop over
This is a great hotel for a stop over ! Clean comfy rooms on the edge of the city, right on the river and the views were stunning ! Would stay again with out doubt , the food was good in the restaurant too .

A Simple Comfy Night
I should note we (family) stopped here on a long drive from the UK, and made no use of any facilities other than the bed and bathroom.The check-in was effortless and quick, on our way to the lift we noticed the restaurant was open until 10pm although we didn't go back down so can't comment on service or food quality.The room was clean with bright carpets which gave, I guess, a fairly simple room a bit of life... the bathroom was again very clean and had no amenities other than towels.We had a twin room, the beds were a welcome comfort after our long drive. There was also a TV, some hanging space, a suitcase rack, bedside tables and room service the only down side was that there was no tea/coffee making facilities in the room but was available via room service.Overall as far as our requirements went, the hotel staff were efficient, the room was clean and comfortable and the parking was free leaving us with a good nights sleep before continuing on our long drive :).

Nice views and helpful staff but awful breakfast experiences!
The hotel was well located and the room had wonderful views over the river.Tea making facilities were very welcome.The breakfast was VERY expensive and very limited with no way of getting extra eggs when they had all gone! The tables were not cleared for ages either.Also, we stayed on a Monday and there was no restaurant facility so we had to go and eat out in the town.The reception staff were lovely and very helpful but the restaurant staff needed serious re-training, even to acknowledge guests had a clean table and may have needed things replenishing.

Good one night stopover hotel
We have broken our drive from Italy to stay here about half a dozen times. The hotel has been upgraded over the years and we have found the rooms clean and comfortable for a reasonable price. The restaurant is not reliable. It is often closed at the weekend or for events and the menu is limited. However there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance so this is not a major problem. The breakfast menu is usually good but on our last stay (November 19th 2012) the cooked food from the buffet was tepid and we had to ask for it to be reheated. There is rarely anyone to greet you in the restaurant and you may have to go to the kitchen to get help. There is a fast food restaurant on the way back to the motorway so you can skip the hotel breakfast and probably save money too.
