This a huge hotel with lots of amenities in a great location. The room was very nice. My only complaint was the service in the meeting rooms (large business meeting). The oatmeal ran out before breakfast had ended and there were times during the 3 day meeting the coffee ran out or there was not hot water for tea. This did not seem "right" for catering such a large event. Even if the host under ordered (this is a regular meeting run a different hotels 3 times a year so it is not likely the host made the error) the staff could've brought out some additional hot water or coffee.

At ITW Conference based in the hotel. Allowing for the fact that all 2200 rooms were taken either for conference guests or as meeting rooms, this was a much improved experience over last year. Room (25th Floor West Tower) was very good although slightly odd layout and the "love seat" would be very tight for two people. There is no other seating other than the desk chair or bed.Lighting... what is it about US hotel room designers that think we want to live in the dark. In this hotel there is insufficient light form the entrance bulb to give sufficient light to find the various table top lamps, and these provide limpid pools of light - really not enough for a normal person to function. Why not give the guest the choice to have decent visibility.Wifi is very expensive and really not acceptable (i paid $14 plus tax on a special promotional rate) given the very low cost of providing the service. Hyatt should join others and make it a free.Buffet breakfast is OK - not very inspiring, and room service options are very limited too. Although Chicago has many superb restaurants to chose from, after a long flight, especially travelling on business, sometimes room service and tv is the best option.Taking TV for a moment - this is truly awful at this hotel. Minimal choice, poor visual and sound quality (on a decent seeming large LG flat screen). I doubt the management really think about what their guests actually want. I suspect most, like me, are not going to pay for "premium content" whatever the hotel would like.was going to give it 4 stars, but reading what i have written it is now 3.

A huge property (2000+) rooms designed for convention travelers who don't have any say in their accommodations. Very small room with out of date furnishings. Poor excuse for a fitness center and no pool. Irish pub wouldn't attract customers in a second rate mall setting. We had a room on the Regency Club level. Club has nice selection of drinks but skimpy continental breakfast with very weak coffee. Parking is over $50 per day and valet requires 30 minute notice. Union workers working during the night on the same floor to get rooms back in service.

My first experience of kiosk check in and out. Kind of weird! We didn't have room darkening curtains and went to the desk. They gave us a different room with no problem. The location was perfect for walks to Millennium Park. Lots of restaurants within walking distance, too.

I booked 3 rooms for 1 night at this hotel for my business partners from out of the country. When we checked in we expected large 2 queen bed rooms as photos on their website but what we got was very small, yes, about 150-200 square foot rooms with bathrooms as small as, well, you can barely turn around with no bath tub. Is it a Hyatt? I asked the front desk about that and he was very unfriendly and telling me that it's a standard king room with 450sq foot. Something got be wrong! and the coffee machine was small and bad. My guests were very disappointed since they've had very good Hyatt experience before..I was so embarrassed by what we can provide them in America. What makes it worse, there is a Anime conference here and the noise made my guests not able to go to sleep. They don't speak English so asked me to ask help desk if we can switch to other bigger quieter rooms. Frontdesk guy was very rude and he said that there's no other rooms available, you got what you got! I was so angry that I just can fall asleep until now, well 1:23 am in the morning! This is so so bad experience, and I've got my business partners from Asia came all the way to visit me just to tell me that they don't like it!!!!! By the way, at the frontdesk I asked them to book me as high floor as possible and she said there's only 11 stories. It turns out that there are more than 11 stories in this hotel and there are 2100 rooms altogether. I highly doubt that they don't have other rooms. Lies , lies. Bad service bad service. I'll never ever book a Hyatt!I hate Hyatt!!!
