Repeat Performance
I stayed at this property last year. On my most recent trip I booked again...as properties can change. However, the Hilton @ LAX meet the same standards! In fact, they beat expectations as they had a large dance competition and still had time for this road warrior. The room was a corner, great view of LAX even looking out at a run-way (quiet). Staff were terrific! The hotel met expectations, by repeating their performance the second time.Yes, when in LA, this will be the property of choice.

Great stopover Hotel
A great stopover hotel. Nice rooms comfortable bed, excellent Gym, Pool and eating places. Would be nice to have WiFi in the rooms but it is available in the lobby area. Have stayed twice in the last few months and both experiences have been great no complaints.

No problems of any significance with this Hilton
No problems here during a forced 18 hour layover. Breakfast and dinner had good selections. Transfers to/from the airport were good but nightmarish traffic made a short drive seem to take forever. We stayed in room 5080 with a big TV but no frig (very disappointing), safe, good air conditioning. The room did not have an exciting view of anything. The only problems with the room was 1) a bright light next to the bathroom which was annoying and 2) there was also a small flashing red light on the wall near the thermostat, the purpose of which I did not understand.Bath amenities were very good. The elevator button, once pushed, is hard to see so you have no idea during daylight if the elevator has been activated or not. Even harder to guess which elevator might be arriving. I have stayed at several LAX airport properties but I would get a room here again without question.

Fairly comfortable
Check in was prolonged due to computer system failure, but the guy was apologetic and pleasant. The entrance area is very nice but reception is tucked away right at the back and there is little signage.The room was a bit dated but most comfortable, roomy and a good view of the runway. The executive lounge could do with more suitable seating for those busy times. But the offerings are satisfactory, although the guy in the serving hatch was a bit miserable.We didn't eat in the hotel in the evening as the resturant menu was a little limited. Thankfully there is a Denny's only 5 minute walk.The cafe was fine for a coffee and there are some nice outside corners to catch a bit of sun, sit and drink your coffee and read.There is a shuttle bus to Manhattan Beach, but buying tickets from the hotel is a pain. Go to parking valet and get a ticket, then go to the car park pay station to pay for the ticket, then take the receipt back to the parking valet to exchange it for the proper ticket. What a mess, why can't one just by them from concierge or reception?Hotel is ideal for the airport and the free shuttle bus is very good with helpful drivers. All in all a good stay and would return.

Very busy Hotel
Good easy location for most areas of LA, and most importantly LAX without traffic. Hotel is very busy and can get crowded. The lounge is very average, and very hard to get a table. Rooms are very small, make sure you ask about cost of upgrading to a suite for larger space.
