Better to choose another apartment facility in the neighborhood
The Opera Residence is actually run by a backpacker's hostel next door. The room we stayed in didn't match the quality of rooms on the website at all. There was chipping paint and the shower was difficult to control without flooding the bathroom. The curtains rods tried to fall of the wall. The room was mostly clean but the floor felt a bit gritty and the room smelled like air perfume when we arrived. Luckily there was a fan but frankly it was a bit weak and wanted to fall over as well. Another inconvenience is that this property has an earlier than normal check-out (10:00) and a later-then normal check-in (15:00) which was inconvenient for us.The worst problem of all though was that the street which our room overlooked was very noisy. It may have been better if it had overlooked the courtyard.

Good apartment for a good price
Good condition apartment. Spacious. However, not cleaned very well. Ie a lot of dust under the bed and behind furniture and some sanitary stuff of the previous guest behind the washing machine. Also, windows quite bad, we were on the top floor but I still woke up nearly every night due to the noice from the street. Anyway, overall good. I would recommend.

Very nice residence (witch actually is an amount of appartments) the reception is common to their hostel but the service is 5+, prices cheap and right in the city center! A bit hard to find (o utka - means street "o") inputing in your gps shuold work

Excellent Experience
I stayed in Opera Residence with my wife from Dec 30th till January 1st 2013 and we enjoy the experience very much.The apartments are fully furnished and very cosy. Equipped with washing machine, dishwasher, iron and board, free wi-fi, TV and DVD Player. Bed and matres very confortable. Even if down the street there were music and celebration for new year, once back in the apartment we literally did hear anything and can sleep comfortably. The reception is 24hr and Tom and the other guys were very helpful and patients, giving us tourist information too. They also printed up for us the boarding card.Just a clarification: Opera residence are brand new apartments and even if the reception is the same as broadway hostels, are completely different accomodation services.Price for money very good.Location excellent too. Literally 5 minutes walk from Opera Metro Stop and 10 from St Stephen Basilica Metro station.

not what we expected
Area is seedy and did not feel safe. Hostel is below the apartments making for a loud, rowdy, party atmosphere and music pumping till 5am. Yelling & screaming throughout the night is heard clearly with courtyard windows closed. Staff is unfriendly and unhelpful. We were told cash payment was the only option. We might as well have been staying in the hostel as the environment was the same and the apartment only slightly better. Towels are minimal, no face cloths or hand towels. No soap at the toilet sink. Washing machine did not work properly leaving the load sitting in water at the end of the cycle. Beds are the worst we've slept on - a folded down futon was the main bedroom bed & bolster pillows were stained and dirty. The only positive is it's proximity to the main sites - they are a walkable distance away from this location.
