Hotel in great location with a few negatives
The Hansson Hotel is well located about a 25 minute walk from the main train station and 30 minutes from the city center. Two bus routes are v close as is the T. The neighborhood has lots of amenities and is reasonably quiet at night. There is a small bar and restaurant in the hotel and the staff go out of their way to help you. the room rates are v good for Stockholm and there is a low cost fixed rate for a taxi to Arlanda. I had a "classic"room and not one of the rooms that are being updated. My bathroom had a missing light bulb and a missing tile in the bathroom floor. The shower was blocked to almost make the shower unusable. I asked to have the light bulb changed on a Monday and was still waiting when I checked out on Friday....I like the hotel but they need to do better than this.

Appearances are deceiving
I stayed here for one night and would never stay again. Let me make it perfectly clear: This was not a four-star hotel, which is how it is advertised. The outside is very attractive. The lobby is stylish and well maintained. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was acceptable, but everything else was bad.The keys are old-style keys. This may be charming to some, but displaying your room number in large print on the key can be a safety issue. It also can be a bother to carry, as it cannot be slipped into a wallet, as with the electronic card key that most hotels have used for almost 20 years.The room itself was old at best. Fixtures were worn out. Paint was horribly chipped. Furniture was dinged and scrapped. The toilet seat was ancient. The leather chairs had stains. As for the other amenities, the internet was ridiculously expensive. Drinks were at the bar were good, but the service was slow because the bartender was also the front desk clerk. There wasn't an on-site fitness facility nor was there a pool or sauna. If the hotel would properly renovate its rooms and bring everything into the 21st century, this would be a very nice boutique hotel. However, in its present condition, I cannot recommend it.By no objective standard is it a four-star hotel.

Great boutique hotel
This is a small hotel in the heart of Stockholm with a very comfortable and welcoming lobby. The metro is nearby. And the shopping district is a 15 minute walk at most, and from there you can continue on strolling down to the Old City. The staff helped me out all along the way, with support to get my Ipad on the wifi and suggestions for a jogging path and sighseeing on my day off of work. My room was small but quiet and clean, and the bathroom was new and had plenty of hot water. I did not opt for the least expensive room, and I would recommend the hotel as good value for the money in a major European city.

Lovely stay
Staff at this hotel were nothing but friendly and helpful. The lobby area, bar and breakfast area was very nicely done and comfortable. Although my girl friends and I had only booked a classic room and not one if the renovated rooms, we were very happy with Them. Clean and spacious the only minus was there were no tea or coffee facilities in the room. Very quiet apart from the sat night, may have been some sort of staff party in a room above us? Location was good, easy to catch the metro or buses. An enjoyable stay in Stockholm loved the snow!!
