still needs refurbishment badly!!
i have stayed at the king soloman before and knew it was not the best of places but this time.i was not impressed.it was quite hard finding the room,the staff really could not care on the desk.there were no towels and toilet paper in the room.i had to go down to the desk to get some!!i.m fairly independant but for the price i did expect some basic service.the towels were old and damp.the carpet in the room was old and frayed.for the price,this hotel is not worth what i payed for it.i explained to the reception,nicely that the owner needs to spend some money on the place..all he said was we.ve 90 rooms..sadly the hotels around g.green are not of high standard.

BED BUG! Worst hotel ever!
On my second morning I found and squashed a BED BUG as it crawled away from my pillow as I laid down reading a newspaper. It was robust with blood! Disgusting!! I was moved to room 79 from room 18 which I was forced to spend the previous night. I arrived early (about 11am), travelling from outside London to stay one night but my plans changed and needed to stay two nights.My room would not be ready till 2pm. I was already very tired as I started my travel at 4am, but the rude receptionist gave me no choice as he told me to take room 18 for the night or wait till 2pm because he would not change me to the room I paid for at 2pm. For a 'double' room 18 was small, dirty and dingy. Room 79 was better and bigger, but later bug infested!!. In both rooms, towels were off white and intercoms did not have dial tone. The second receptionist 2nd morning was better and he apologized for my bed bug ordeal.The only decent place in the property was the restaurant with far more polite staff than the hotel but breakfast was just, mashed tuna, boiled eggs and bread on both mornings.. I would never stay in this hotel again.

small room
Based on the pic's of family rooms I thought I would get a dble & 2 singles, need to specify next time.Room was clean, not uncomfortable. Breakfast was different - but enjoyable. It isnt too far from Central London by tube.

La Dolce Vita - The hotel's Restaurant
Went to a supper club evening at this restaurant with 6 others and we all had a lovely time. The food was excellent - HUGE - portions. And the food was so hot, all the pasta dishes we had stayed very hot in the dishes whilst we were eating them. We wondered how the Chef achieved this as pasta usually goes quite cold quite quickly, but not here. We all had only mains as someone knew the portions were huge, and none of us had afters, we just didn't have room. A very pleasant evening had by all.

A small room and poor services
In Room 74 can fit only a Single bed. If you are a couple I suggest to look for a bigger room. They try to keep it clean but the walls must be painted cause they are dirty. Couldn't open the window and the aspirator in the bathroom was out of service. Breakfast with too poor choices
