Very nice!
We spent three nights at the City Inn, May 16 - 18. It's a quite nice hotel in an up-and-coming area of Budapest. The entire Corvin district is undergoing a major transformation, so new businesses are popping up. The staff here are very helpful--particularly, Szilard and Reka. The breakfast is also quite good with a wide variety of options. Although it's a little out of town, there is a major metro stop two blocks away. Our room was great! I actually wanted to take the bed home with me since it's the first bed I've found that didn't hurt my back!

Decent, reasoonably price well situated and safe accomodations
This is one of my favourite hotels when travelling in central Europe. Any time I feel like taking in the sites and sounds of lovely Budapest I always stay at my 'home away from home.' The staff are friendly and courteous and the hotel is ideally situated. While it is a hike to the Buda (read historical) side of the river, Pest has its own particular charm, all of its own. Additionally it is better value for money. Take a nice main course meal in one of the side-walk cares or at the nearby "Kom-Pot" restaurant and you will not be disappointed.The rooms are clean and refreshing and the mini bar is VERY reasonable -no pilfering here! The breakfast largely adequate and well stocked with Hungarian specialities. If you are looking for a decent fairly priced accommodation while visiting the marvels of Budapest you could not do much better than staying at the Hotel City Inn. One unfortunate downside is that they have no restaurant facilities but there are plenty available close by so that is really a non-issue.

Great Hotel
Stayed here for 4 nights in March 2013, from arrival to departure our stay was perfect from the friedliness from the very helpful staff to the buffet continental breakfast which staff replenished endlesly. The rooms comfortable and quiet at night, the hotel being in a side street helped , the location also only a few 100 yds from metro. Extra pillows etc avail on request, tv up on wall..(although a bit high up) though we didnt actally watch any. The usual shampoo / wash gels supplied . Small fridge in room stocked with water/beer chocolate as they request you do not bring in your own , the prices are low but you can by in local supermarket(lower floor of shopping centre) discretion always if bringing in own drinks/snacks.We tried the very local small bars and at ¿¿1.20 approx for vodka/coke or 80p for beer why go further afield , eating out was also good value if you want that ,with several small cafe/bars and restaurants locally, pizza /pasta does appear to be the most popularWe left our luggage securely at the hotel on last day so we could wander of and return 6 hours later to collect it.Only 1 niggle would be the shower / toilet room was on small side and the shower which was very good, hot and powerful tended to wet the floor as there is only a screen and not a closed cubicle....plenty of towels avail tho to mop up .....only did it once to learn though.If staying 3 days and going to see sights would advise buying the 3 day pass for metro/trams etc as very good value for unlimited use.

Nice pleace
Stayed here in January. It¿¿¿s a small hotel in a side street which was good as it was very quite at night. I didn¿¿¿t hear any bin collect when I was there as mention by some one and our room was at the front No 12. The rooms are large and the kitchen area is handy for coffee and storing drinks. The breakfast was good, standard fair but I had to ask for hot food as they did not put any out. This was due to time of year and not many guess after the first day they ask us to hand in room service menus each day and we had room service for the rest of the week. I would stay here again no problems. The hotel is in the center of everything just a short walk away , the New Yorker is the nearest stop for the RED line tour bus the best and cheapest every in winter and one of the tours line was not running. Budapest is a lovely city and you could do alot worst then this hotel. you must go to the city market ,My little niggles room 12 is close to the smoking area good if your a smoker but bad if you don¿¿¿t as the door slams all the time and can be annoying, the bar is way to dear with the price of a beer twice what you pay in the local bars. But other that that sound place.

An extraordinary good value hotel in a stunning city!
I was in Budapest last summer and I review this hotel as a single traveler. It's quite hard to find decent spaces when you travel solo. But this time it was totally different. Spacious immaculate rooms; a functional and spotless bathroom. Very high sleep quality and you get a perfect temperature water in the shower. If you're lucky, you will get a room with a view over a cute inner courtyard, which gives you a very cozy feeling. The staff is very friendly, smiley and helpful and keeps this hotel functioning in a very dedicated way, hopping to please you.If you chose to have breakfast at the hotel, you will get a wide variety of food: traditional meat, eggs, cereals, several types of bread, jams, ham, fruit, juices, tea, coffee, pastry, etc. The quality overall is good and tasty.The convenience of the location depends on the type of traveler you are. The hotel is not in the city center. If you like to walk, it will take you about 25-30 minutes to get to the center (in a medium slow pace). As an alternative, you have the subway 5-10 minutes¿¿¿ walk from the hotel. The surroundings are the best thing in this location. A very modern Budapest is rising there and you have cinemas, stores, lovely outdoor spaces, and a mall (they transformed a street into a shopping!). You also have near the hotel the Museum of Decorative Arts and the National Museum. Furthermore, if you dare to walk the surrounding streets of these two museums, you will find very inspiring corners and restaurants.Yes, I sure recommend the City Inn.
