An unexpected treat!
My husband and I spent four nights half board at the hotel for a quick get away, we were not disappointed. We had a fabulous break - service was faultless and friendly, the food was delicious and plentiful and our room was clean and well cared for. The walk to the beach is not scenic - you have to cross the dual carriageway via a footbridge but the walk is worth it as we found the beach to be quiet and clean. There were 2 beach restaurants to choose from both of which were fine. We would not hesitate to return.

"Little Gem of a Hotel,near Estepona"
Booked this Hotel because of the rave reviews on its' Spa facilities. We were not disappointed. Great facilities and services in well-maintained and modern spa. The rest of the Hotel is very good value for money.Rooms are spacious with large bed and very good bathroom. Location is on the outskirts of Estepona, but car or taxi is required to get to town centre.Some excellent restaurants nearby.We tried the "Carnicero" ( about 500 metres from the Hotel), and "Playa-Bella" a ten-minute drive away.Big outdoor pool for warmer months. Will definitely return and can thoroughly recommend, but beware this is an adult only Hotel.

Cheap relaxing modern and clean
All round good one. Fab relaxing spa. Big comfy bed with loads of pillows. Piping hot power shower and bath. All clean and spacious. Polite, helpful and smiley staff. We took advantage of a special offer and were not disappointed at all. The value for money exceeded our expectations. Happily recommend it.

Fantastic Hotel - Great service
We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in January as we had business meetings. There was a problem with the door entry card, and we could not get into our room straight away, but the Reception Staff were so helpful and held our luggage (replaced door battery) and put our bags in.The bedrooms were spacious and the bathroom was huge. Had a great night sleep with the comfortable pillows (even got a pillow menu), had a balcony to enjoy the sunset.There is lots of room in the reception area, and the bar staff were really helpful. Had tasty bar snack, and the buffet breakfast has lots of variety, and there is food to for everyones taste.We used the spa which was very relaxing and the circuit list of how to enjoy the treatments was really helpful. If you contact reception they may do a deal for 2 people going to the spa ... its worth a try.It is well positioned off of the A7 motorway and has underground parking. The outside pool looked good .... bit nippy to try it out.The staff at the hotel made this stay really enjoyable, they were polite, professional and really helpful.

Great hotel, fab design, well priced!
Just B&B for us but it's a fabulous hotel with some serious money spend on design and matched by great friendly and efficient service. Well placed just off the A7 (although you won't notice it's there) the Barcelo is definitely a great place to base yourself if you're exploring from Malaga to Gib - so it's not on the beach! However, lots of restaurants along the A7 in Estapona, Marbella and a somewhat tacky Peuto Banus (but great if you're partying in a crowd I'm sure)The only annoyance is the limited TV (although I guess I should learn more Spanish) and the Internet (although free each device phone/laptop/ipad etc. has to have it's own code which expires on checkout - fine but we extended our stay twice so ended up surrounded by paper with codes on. I guess that's a small issue and won't bother many - no idea why that should happen nowadays though!)Spa looked amazing but at ¿¿¿30 each per day (although if you get there at 10am they were doing 241) it seemed a lot to add when you just fancy a quick dip in the evening though.I'd definitely stay again though - breakfast was great with a lot of options - I made it down everyday which makes a real change for me! Outdoor pool was lovely....
