Pleasant stay
Very quaint and basic. This hotel has the smallest elevator I've ever been in - it takes 2 people and 2 suitcases then its full! Its ideally situated in the heart of Paris city central and very accessible to public transport and restaurants. Dont ask the hotel reception to arrange an airport transfer - book it yourself. The receptionist booked us with a man who drove the vehicle like the devil was on his heels! Otherwise the rooms were small but adequate and clean. Staff spoke adequate English.

A good value for a good location
Ok, so the elevator is small enough to require two separate trips for two people with luggage. That concludes my criticism. The staff was both friendly and helpful. Morning breakfast was delicious, the coffee was strong and sustained us for hours. The room was kept clean, with fresh linens, for each of the three days of our stay. The close proximity to two metro stations put any location in Paris just a few minutes away. I would stay there again.

Great Value and Location
The Beaumarchais is located about half way between Republique and Bastille and I paid ¿¿¿89/night for a single. Both great. The hotel has a small elevator. The rooms are well equipped and clean. There is heat and AC, hot water, safe, and a good European bathroom. Beds are confortable and linens changed daily. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Decore is Dali/Picasso-esque.

Friendly hotel in excellent location at good rate for Paris
This is a very good budget hotel - the staff are welcoming and friendly, the rooms are modern and chintz-free in bold bright colours, and the location - in the Marais - in excellent in my opinion. Very close to two Metros stops and plenty of bars and shops around. Room had decent-sized window, en-suite with bath and shower. Cute small courtyard area, breakfast served until late which suited us. WOuld recommend.

Needs an update
Its not as updated as the pictures imply. The hallways were very damp and floring needs replacing. It could be a very nice hotel. The location is close to the metro which is great for sightseeing. We will stay somewhere else on our return trip to Paris.
