Overall a Nice hotel
Just back from a 9 day stay. A really impressive hotel with need for more imagination in service delivery.
We had a really nice time here mid- May and got a good deal,the restaurants in house are not remarkable,on he first night I had a veal curry that showed no sign of veal or curry.Breakfast however was good and the staff very helpful all round,management need a good shaking up however.Hotel very empty and we were at first allocated a room miles from the heart of the hotel! Rooms are however beautifully designed and comfortable,shortcomings are lack of spaces for a convivial drink bar area very strange & nowhere to have a decent coffee (asked for an Americano in the bar area and got the standard pot of breakfast stuff. Best plan is to use hotel as base for forays into the surprisingly lovely and interesting Estepona town three delights stunning old town area very quaint & lively, the nearby wonderful three km promenade full of life and the port area with some astonishing bars & retaurants.Countryside also beautiful but we were on short visit.A seriously nice hotel that old easily get it's act together!

Middle of nowhere
Cannot fault hotel! It was very beautiful! We didn't go all inclusive and at 7 euros each for a coffee we had to drive everywhere or get a cab into town! Nowhere to walk to apart from along the beach in the day! If you want to truly get away from it all then this is the hotel for you! If you like a bit of life then go to a hotel in town.

A great place for all-inclusive
We wanted a quiet all-inclusive holiday and we weren't disappointed. We didn't leave the hotel save to walk along the beach. We thoroughly enjoyed the indoor pool, the outdoor pool, the three restaurants, the lobby bar, the spa, the gift shop and I even got a great haircut in the hotel beauty salon! What is included in "all-inclusive" was very clear in the paperwork given to us at the hotel. We paid for the gift shop items, haircut and spa treatments but I found these to be reasonable expenses on the holiday. You can avoid the extras easily if you so desire. Our hotel room was spacious - we had a free-standing bath, separate shower, toilet, bidet and his & hers sinks. We had a king-size bed, table and two chairs, desk, large TV and balcony. From the balcony, on a clear day, we could see Gibraltar and Africa. The food in the restaurants was so delicious that I gained a dress size in a week! We had plenty of food/drink/snacks available throughout the day that we wanted for nothing in terms of refreshment.A few minor points that did not detract from the holiday: there were a few minor places where the wallpaper in the hallway could do with refreshing. As we didn't leave the hotel, we had to wait for what seemed to be an inordinate amount of time before the cleaners finished our room. However, I don't think this detracted from a great holiday and I am keen to go back for another rest and relaxation!

A decent review for you all :) Hope you find it useful.
Ok so I promised you a review when we got back home, but we thought we would do it while we are still here; Firstly since we had never been to Spain before we were a little cautious as to what to expect from the ,Elba, - so here goes folks and hope you find it useful - The hotel is well laid out, has very good services, and offers excellent cleanliness with warm and welcoming staff. The Spa is quite amazing and offers good quality regimes. The room we have been given 519 is large, spacious, clean, and the bathroom is of exceptional quality. I had expected like most hotels the water to slowly disappear out the bathtub, but no, the plug fits snugly and the water stays in there. The only problem with the bathroom is that there are no face cloths within the towel selection and the bathrobes were way too small for either myself or husband (and we are not large). The breakfast buffet far surpasses expectations, there is everything anyone could possibly want for a morning feast. All the staff are friendly and helpful and again everything is spotless with good quality food - rather reminiscent of a top class Swiss hotel. The quality of the food served within the restaurants is excellent, with some good choices to cover all tastes, it is well prepared and presented using good quality supplies. All the pools are very clean and well cared for, the gardens too are a pleasure to see. It wouldn't be much of a review if all I did was extol the virtues of the hotel so just to hopefully give you a few pointers - whilst the sun loungers look very classy they are very very uncomfortable and caused quite a lot of back pain. They need cushions at least twice as thick to make them anywhere near comfortable. Also having a minibar in your room is a very good advantage but you do need to put some glasses in there so we can actually drink the items in the minibar? A few staff mentions as some of them are exceptional in both their service and helpfulness - Gemma in reception, David in the restaurant and Andreas on bar service. The hotel does deserve it's 5 star rating and will I am sure have a good repeat visitor count. We will certainly be returning at some point. Whilst the drinks are a little over priced the food in the restaurants is quite good value.
