Wonderful stay...nice hotel
We had been to Hong Kong on vacation this April through India's leading tour operator Kesari. There always is an apprehension as to how the hotel will be..but at Regal Riverside we expected the unexpected. Beautiful hotel, comfortable room, free wifi, scenic view with a river flowing alongside and offcourse the wholesome breakfast. The staff was friendly and nice. This hotel is highly recommended for stay in Hong Kong. Not sure what the charges are since we were on tour package. One observation is that the breakfast was same for all 3 days we stayed...but still cheers to Regal Riverside.

Price, close to MTR
Hong Kong is very overpriced when it comes to hotels.The taxi t o the hotel is around 300 HK$ including toll road fees and surcharge for luggage,But when you arrive you have a lovely hotel at the river. Traffic is not bad and during the night the city sleeps. Due to jet lag we where up around 5 a.m. And there was no traffic on the river road.The MTR is just over the bridge to the left, past city hall and with a couple of transfers you are in the center 30 minute ride. There is a very large shopping center with bakeries and more small food places. The library offers free Internet with ID. The hotel offers also a sauna, small jacuzzi and more, depending on our room reservation there may be an extra charge.Overall we got the room at a bargain price versus staying in the center. A 5-star experience... will definitely come back
We booked our HK vacation through a travel agency (package tour) so we didn't know what to expect of the hotel. And we were delighted!!The highlights: location is good as nearby were a pharmacy, convenience store and many restaurants. We tried one of the restaurants and the food was excellent but the price was really reasonable. The downside was that none of the waiters spoke English but we managed! At a higher price point, the hotel's restaurants were good too - we especially enjoyed the Japanese restaurant. The rooms were also clean and spacious with good amenities. The doors seemed a bit thin as sometimes we would hear talking from the hall, but it was not a big deal. We were also pleasantly surprised at the speed of the elevator - we never had to wait longer than 1-2 min even if the hotel is very busy. The view of the river was very nice and refreshing - quite a change from staying in a hotel in the middle of Kowloon. The hotel is also within walking distance from a mall and very close to a train station. Service was also excellent. One time we were (unsuccessfully) consulting one of their "tourist" boards that show maps and information on nearby places such and someone just went up to us to ask how he could help. He told us about the nearby places we could visit and gave us directions - he was very helpful!!!What can be improved: WIFI in the rooms were not free, speed of check in/out was a bit slow, and the lobby is small and always crowded. The breakfast was also nothing special (ham and eggs with toast everyday for 4 days) - though this may have been part of the tour arrangement and not directly a fault of the hotel.We would definitely want to come back to this hotel and recommend it to others! Especially for those who would like to see more of the new territories (and not those who will spend most of their days in Kowloon/Disneyland). Staying in this hotel has inspired us to explore more of Sha Tin and the nearby areas actually.

Quiet Residential area. Walking distance to shopping plaza
Large room, lots of space. It is a good value compare to other hotel in HK. It is await from the main hub, but can easily walk to the Shartin train station (Big shopping mall as well) and take MTR to Central and TST etc where all the actions are. My son said the swimming pool is great. I don't feel the staff are very proactive, we stayed at ninth floor and only one side of the lift can get to it, and the staff who handed us the key didn't even tell us, we found out when we tried to go to our room, so have to drag our bags from one end to another end of the hotel. Our Fridge wasn't working, they weren't going to do anything, but we have milk in it already, so I asked them to do something, they have replaced the fridge immediately. You can take airport express bus A41 from airport to the hotel, bus stop just across the road., approx 30-45mins, HKD22 for adult, half price for children.

Very Nice Place to Stay!
I am happy to share my experience of staying in this hotel.As often mentioned in reviews check in and check out process looks slow. I enjoyed my stay for two nights and extended it by one more night.I was helped by the executive in 15th floor.I stayed in one of the top floors and it was a delight to watch life around from there.I had a frugal breakfast and so no comments.Dinner too was served as per my requirement and was good.There is a chef in the restaurant in 3rd floor who spoke Hindi.Wonderful!House Keeping was really good with regular change of towels etc.The number of restaurants and the variety of food on offer are pretty impressive.This four star property stands on the bank of river which offers delightful spectacle all the time.Bus bays are quite near by and Sha Tin railway station is not far away.Easy access to any corner makes it a good place to stay in Hong Kong. I am happy with the genial staff and excellent location .I will stay here any time I visit the place.Eateries and small shopping facility two blocks away are ideal to visit on a stroll. Sky Scrapers around and on the other side of the river add to our pleasure.They were kind in offering me complementary ride to Airport in their shuttle.I loved it.Rooms in higher levels are excellent and riverside view is the best one.Without losing our temper, if we can communicate with the staff, we get best services.I learnt many lessons in the art of survival on my maiden trip abroad on business in a pleasant manner.
