Små men frächa rum, sköna sängar. Det blir nog varmt i rummen om det är varma sommardagar då AC verkar saknas, vårat rum var gränsfall med tanke på värmen. God frukost som kostade 85 kronor och är gratis för barn under 12.

Recently renovated hotel ship, on a perfect location in Gothenburg habour. The rooms or cabins are small, but bathrooms are average size, which is good.Easy but expensive parking right by the hotel. Since the ferry is a metal construction, the rooms where not as quiet as normal hotels. Breakfast bufet was included in room price and average quality.

I spent two nights at the Ibis Goteborg City Hotel on a business trip with a couple of colleagues.. When we first booked we were surprised that we were really going to be staying on a converted ship. So let's get a couple of points about staying on a ship out of the way first! The ship is floating but doesn't move around too much as it is in the harbour and tied to the quay with steel cables. From the outside it is like a ship, inside it looks like a hotel, with wide staircases and corridors. There are normal lifts. The rooms are not large but the beds are really comfortable and well fitted. The sound proofing between rooms is excellent and it has those soundproof doors, I heard nothing from other rooms. The en suite bathroom was well equiped with an excellent shower. The room and bathroom were very clean There is a restaurant and bar. We ate in the restaurant, the service was very good and the food tasty and not expnesive. Breakfast also had a good choice Emma and the other staff that we interacted with were really friendly and lots of fun. Of course being in a harbour there is no noisey traffic going past so it is very quiet. The location is good for the old town but quite a walk (we went by taxi) I will definitely be staying here again. (apparently there is a gym in the hull of the ship but I did not visit it - too lazy)

The hotel is located only 15 min from the train station, but if you have a heavy bad (like I did) i suggest taking a taxi. It makes a very nice impression seeing the hotel, being a boat and all. :) Don't worry about the ¿¿¿waves¿¿¿ there aren't any. I never felt a single movement during my entire stay. The room was a double room, but it was just enough for me alone. I don't know how 2 people could move in this room. Well, cabin actually. In general it is a nice room, but SO SO SMALL. The bathroom is very well kept, clean, no weird smells, nothing to complain about. The breakfast was nice, everything that I expected from a 3* was available. A nice touch are water, coffee and tea + cookies and cakes at guests dispose during the entire day. Loved that. One can take the bus to the city but I walked every day with no problem. The staff is very helpful and kind. I would recommend it definitely. I can't say anything about the price as my company paid for it so I have no idea how much it cost but I personally wouldn't pay more than EUR 50,00 pp/night in BB (single room). There, enjoy Gothenburg. :))

Unless the thought of spending the night on a ship excites you, there is nothing special about this botel. I've stayed there on three occasions. The rooms are on the small side, the bathrooms tiny and with cold floors, but it is reasonably clean and centrally located. The breakfast is OK but nothing more. The prices are quite good for Gothenburg.
