Make sure you know what kind of hotel you like
Good location, close to a subway / underground.The hotel was quick in replying after I had booked to confirm that they would make sure I got the room I wanted (high floor, far away from the bar). Good communication.Another positive thing was that in the booking confirmation, the hotel had included specific instructions about transportations. Normally, many hotels mention the name of the closest subway stop. Story hotel also mentioned which exit to use and how to get to the hotel once you reached street level. Made me feel safe arriving as a solo female traveler fairly late at night.However, I think this is an 'either or' hotel. Either you find it perfect for your needs or you'll feel out of place. For me, it was mostly the latter. The hotel has a self-check in system which is a bit impersonal where you check in using the computers in the lobby. There are staff and they're friendly enough but I like a more 'classical' set up with a regular counter and lobby and staff to ask for maps etc when in a new town. Also, if you're in town to party this is a perfect hotel. The bar in the hotel is lively and seem to attract a lot of people on their way to other locations in the area (it's close to one of the hip party areas in Stockholm - Stureplan). That's not something that appeals to me. I was in town for a few other events that made me return late to the hotel so I wasn't overly bothered by the noise from the bar -which could be heard clearly in my room despite being one of their quieter rooms, I wonder how much noise there is in the rooms on lower floors just above the bar? But normally, this would be too noisy for my taste and I like hotels that are much quieter. If you're not someone who is in town to party and plan on getting to bed fairly early this certainly isn't the place for you. Breakfast items were fresh and the bread newly baked. But the items to choose from were limited. Apart from boiled eggs, no hot items and for Scandinavian hotel breakfasts this is quite limited. I would usually love to have som scrambled eggs and bacon as well for breakfast. On the last full day of my stay, they forgot to replace my towels (they had taken all of the other ones except for one which they had left on my bag in the room). Sloppy and rushed!

Excellent hotel in my hometown!
While currently living abroad and travelling extensively I was back in Stockholm for work and was really happy to find this excellent hotel in a perfect location in Stockholm. It was great value for money and room and bathroom was nicely decorated in an unusual but cool style. The traditional fancy hotel rooms do get dull after a while so this was a pleasant surprise. The hotel bar does get noisy at some nights, but I heard nothing despite staying on second floor. If someone wants a quiet drink there are plenty plenty of other alternatives in the area. Food and cocktails were really good including a world class Old Fashioned. Will stay again when going "home" for business.

great location in Stockholm
This hotel is in a very good location near to a lot of the cool shops like the Acne flag ship. On arrival the staff were really friendly. There is a bit of a strange key system where you have to key in a number to open your room door. The rooms are furnished in an interesting way with arty posters on the wall that you can buy. The bed was super comfortable and the contents of the mini bar were free. The toiletries are from Face that are really nice but I could have done with a shower cap. My room was pretty noisy I think I was over the bar so I would recommend this Hotel more for a weekend away rather than a buisness trip. The breakfast was really nice and again the staff were super friendly. I wish I could have stayed longer as I think it would have been really lovely for a slow sunday breakfast.

Noisy, not for grown ups
Stayed here for two nights on a business trip- never again! Pros: good city centre location, reasonably priced, good sized room with stylish furnishings, friendly staff, restaurant seemed good. Cons: at night the bar turns into a nightclub (Thurs-Sat I think) - a really unwelcoming place for anyone wanting a quiet drink after a busy day, noise from the bar was clearly audible in my third floor room until 2am, plus street noise from hotel bar guests/city centre party-goers. Story could be a great place if you're in Stockholm to party and not going to bed before 2am; but definitely not for the business person who needs a good night's sleep
