This hotel is not a doubletree or Hilton. The hotel has comfortable rooms, the beds were to soft for my taste. The comforter and pillows were down, of which my wife is allergic. The hotel is on the main drag in Oslo and has many restaurants and pubs within easy walking area. The hotel had a great breakfast of hot and cold menu items, assorted teas, fruit and breads. With the hotel on the main drag, and my room on the street side, 5th floor of the hotel, comes the associated noises of loud music, partying people, emergency vehicles, trams, buses. But it got quite about 430a. The room had a fridge, safe, iron and hair dryerThe hop on hop off bus has stops across the street at the Hard Rock Cafe or around the corner at City Hall. Behind city hall is a long walkway along the water with restaurants, shopping mall, cafes, bars and sitting areas to enjoy the water view and boats

After reading conflicting reports here I was a bit apprehensive, but need not have been. I came to Oslo quite late and in fact had to direct the taxidriver a bit, as he was about to pass the hotel - probably because the white sheets that carry the hotel's name are a bit high. Nevertheless the check-in was quick and I found my room easily. The room was the oddest-shaped hotel room I have ever seen. When you come in the door there is a two-by-two meter area with the bathroom door to the right and a narrow corridor to the left. At the end of the corridor (two meters) there is another two-by-three meter area that houses the bed, a small table and a chair. The bed was too soft for my taste, but I could sleep in it so that was ok. The bathroom door was quite heavy to open and there is a high threshold so had to remind myself every time coming from the bathroom to be careful. The hotel might consider some kind on warning there. I had no accidents, though. There is a free wifi in the room which is a definite plus. The breakfast room is quite small and the choice is limited, but as I have no special needs in that regard it was OK.The greatest thing about this otherwise quite adequate hotel is the location. I say again: LOCATION! Right in the city centre (as the name implies), short walks to the pier, the tourist info, the National Theatre metro and train station, so almost everything is within easy reach. That alone makes this a hotel to consider when you go to Oslo.

I stayed there for a brief period as a Justin Beiber concert ensured that rooms are packed to capacity. Excellent rooms and very spacious. Very good room service and good breakfast spread too. Tad costly, but i guess its worth it. located bang opposite the city square and view from dining hall was great. Definitely will stay here whenever i get the opportunity

Stayed two nights. The room was pretty to look at, but not cleaned properly before our visit (garbage under the bed, and the glasses in the bathroom had old toothpaste and fingerprints on them). The complimentary breakfast was a joke, little to no selections and we found hair in the food. When we notified the staff, they only shrugged and took our plates. The food with hair in it was served to other clients. We ended up paying for breakfast elsewhere. The staff seemed unexperienced and unprofessional in their interactions with clients.The room was noisy and the hotel is poorly soundproofed. The location of the hotel is great if you want to live near the city centre. We did not, but that is our own fault due to poor research beforehand. There are many great hotels in Oslo, and we will never come near this one again.

Very pleasant hotel and staff. Daily complimentary breakfast was a big plus. This stay was very comfortable and the location in downtown Oslo was a bonus as well. Only stayed for a night, but appreciated everyone second of it..
