Never 4 stars!
Staff were polite but any request - from bathrobe to checking out - seemed to come as a bit of a surprise to them. No warmth from any staff. Decor was run-down, shabby, slightly dirty 90s of very questionable taste. Room was OK but nowhere near spotless: the dreaded curly black hair on the duvet, bit of hair left in the shower plug, old coffee stains on the window ledge. The entire hotel could do with a face lift. The 'sea view' is a view of the working port. The road is very noisy.Breakfast is plentiful and varied but of the lowest quality ingredients.Definitely not a 4 star hotel.

Worst Radisson Blu Hotel Ever
My husband & I stayed here for 2 nights on our first Scandinavian trip from 27-29 April. The room has kettle and tea facility in the room. Bed was too soft, not suitable for me or people with back problem. No swimming pool but they do have the gym facilities. The staffs failed to impress me with their hospitality. They were just like doing a labor job, put your detail in, give your key, bye bye. I bet a machine check in can do that too. The worst part was we found moulds everywhere in our shower room. Yes Mould! Disgusting! The location was ok, takes another 15 minutes tram ride from city centre. Take tram #6 with direction opposite of Arabia. It costs ¿¿¿2.8 each trip. There is Helsinki card costs ¿¿¿38 which include unlimited trip for all public transpot (but not the airport bus), valid for a day. Airport bus cost ¿¿¿4.5 for public bus or Finbus for ¿¿¿6.5. Finbus is faster by 10 minute to arrive at the city centre. We didn't buy the Helsinki card as upon calculating on what we wanted to go and do, it was cheaper for us to buy individual tickets.Despite the location, I wouldn't recommend to anyone. There is another Radisson Blu just right in the city centre next to where you take the airport bus. Maybe try that one.

An excellent hotel for business and leisure
We stayed for 2 nights ! wish we had more time. The hotel was very clean and the breakfast fantastic. We had to check out early @ 6 am and we were offered a mini-breakfast ! Tram Nos 6 and 9 arrive practically at the doorstep of the hotel ( Tram 6 terminates right opposite the gates of the hotel, but it is not available early in the morning on Sundays !). So you are connected to the centre ( shopping, sightseeing and Railway Station) within 10 minutes by Tram.The rooms have fast free internet and very clean bathrooms. Not to mention free fitness room !

Everything you need
I stayed for four nights for some academic work and the hotel amenities made the work easier. The hotel also has a spa and exercise room. The breakfast buffet which was included in the price was excellent. The onsite restaurant had buffet and a la carte options, as well as a bar. The staff were very helpful. The conference rooms were spacious and well stocked. My room was on the small-ish side but the twin bed was comfortable, and they were able to provide me with hypoallergenic linens. There is a kettle, hairdryer, and iron in the room but no mini fridge. There are English channels on the flat screen, and free wifi which was easy to access and fast. The hotel is about 20 minutes walking distance from the main railway station and shopping area, and the No. 6 tram stops out front. There is a food market steps away, as well as a few restaurants and bars.
