Besides revamped furnishes, new decor and cool environment, rooms could prime more for cleanliness. I didn't feel the vacuum is used very often in the rooms, I felt a kind of dust from the rugs / carpets. Anyway, breakfast was OK and staff is polite and helped with a lot of questions about the city.The air conditioned didnt work at any time and the room got really heated.

Stayed here for a trade show as a little late booking our normal hotel.Checked in quickly and found my room,all a little dark in the corridors to the room and the room was little too warm Room sizes were as you'd expect from a boutique hotelThe bar is actually reception so there are a couple of couches but they did for an unwind after trapsing round the trade showNice Thai restaurant next door but did'nt get to do the buffet breakfast next dayFor the price its not bad,the rooms and corridors are a little dark and the bathroom small and for a 'boutique' hotel it needs to add those little touches which make a hotel 'boutique'

We stayed at Leonardo Boutique Hotel in Munich in April 2013.What a mistake.The location near the Altstadt was very tempting, and the photos on their website gave an impression of a nice, fresh and trendy small boutique hotel.That impression was quickly forgotten after we had arrived and finally received the room, in the late afternoon.The photos on their website don't have much to do with the reality, so at least the photographer has done his job quite well.Our room (Deluxe!) looked very tired and needed badly a complete renovation. The wall paper was bubbling under a coat of dark coloured paint. There was not enough wardrobe space for two people, hardly even for one, for a few nights' stay.The airconditioning was a joke.We tried to sleep windows open, but there is a bar downstairs in the so-called lounge (miniature size) and as it was hot inside the people stayed out by the street smoking and drinking and making a lot of noise.The lift was extremely small and slow, just enough for one person with a suitcase, or two without.The bathroom was old, but kind of disguised to look like a modern bathroom. After a shower there was water all over.The breakfast was reasonably OK, which was surprising in this dump.This hotel is not for us, fortunately there are better alternatives in Munich, at better price, too.

For a one night stay i was trying to keep the cost down for my client, so avoided the major chains. Glad I did as this was a little gem. Great room, friendly staff and extensive breakfast. In walking distance of town centre and major attractions. Little reception bar is open all night and nothing seems too much trouble. Only niggle, is that there is not a good size desk in the room. So computer work wa done on the coach.

I travel to Munich twice a year, this time we decided to stay in the university area as we prefer the selection of shops, bars and restaurants. Nice modern hotel. I made a mistake with the booking and although it was my fault they immediately did their best to sort out the situation for us. Very please and will definitely book again :-)
