myself and my hubby stayed here on entering the hotel it was stunning we were taken to our room of which was road side which was ok the room was spacios n lovely .the pool was absolutly lovely we could also use 2 of the jioning hotels ie cleopatra and st thomas think thats wot it was called also really really lovely the food was a let down looked lovely but was just warm n no more loction is central to shops pubs food beach on the door step though back gate

Super Duper!
Stayed at this hotel earlier in the year, unfortunately before Tenerife is at its warmest. Irrespective of the weather, this hotel is a lovely place to stay. Obviously showing signs of age, I believe this takes nothing away from the experience and service you receive at this hotel.The food was absolutely excellent, dining staff were always polite and helpful, and the choice for the 'buffet' style evening meals was varied and full!Rooms are to be expected from pictures on hotel's websites, nothing too exciting but equally nothing average.THe surroundings and location of the hotel are were it really shines for me, excellent access onto either the beach promenade, or onto the shopping centres behind. Really excellent, and in addition just walking around the other hotels in the mare nostrum resort is novel, as they are all as equally well furnished and kept.Definitely recommend if your looking for something on a slightly higher than average budget, however I would stress if you want total luxury there is probably somewhere like the Sir Anthony that would be that little more glamorous.

5 Star Prices 3 Star Standards
Recently stayed at the above hotel and we were appalled by the lack of cleanliness in the bathrooms of the rooms of a supposedly 5 Star hotel.We were allocated room 2025 when we arrived but the shower cubicle had black mould on the wall tiles,the shower tray was cracked and the shower curtain too small and mouldy. We complained to reception and we were moved to room 3031 the following day. Unforunately the shower cubicle in this room wasn't much better. They had to do 2 furher cleans before we would accept it and even then it wasn't great. The hotels main excuse seemed to be that the hotel was 25 years old what this has to do with basic cleanliness remains a mystery. The bedrooms are definitely in need of major refurbishment. There are chipped floor tiles,wall lights hanging off and large chips in the glass dressing table. The dining room we we had breakfast in was like a works canteen with plastic table and chairs although the food was good and varied. The pool and reception areas are the hotels best features although they could do with some TLC. By the reaction of the hotel staff and management we complained to this was not the first time they had heard this type of complaint. We will certaintly not be returning and wouldn't recommend it .

Liked it & Nice
Nice and hotel were marvelous. Hotel concierge sent us to the most amazing restaurant for dinner. Staff was very attentive. This hotel had the most amazing breakfast of all. Delicious, fresh, and varied. Rooms were as advertised. Though the ocean front rooms can be noisyfrom bar and pool area. Convenient area to walk to most areas of Nice. Good take.

Great location excellent food
Great 5 star hotel central location facing beach pleasant staff always remember us as we 3 times a year here. Rooms clean comfortable with large beds, close to Americas but far away from noise of veronicas strip. Lots of nice eating areas close by great Spanish restaurant over road from hotel flamenco dancing every night good food. If you haven't seen dancing fountains you have to go in the shopping centre at night. Also theatre next door with fantastic Spanish show.Highly recommend to stay here we have several more.
