All you could want at the right price.
Stayed for one night. We had a corner room ,which gave wonderful views of the city and port, and the bullring. The room and bathroom were comfortable and unostentatious, the bed firm and generous. The wi-fi was good. The spa was fine, open from 4.30 to 9.30, no-frills, good jacuzzi with excellent views. Very good location for the city and airport bus.Our stay cost E86. Highly recommended.

Good hotel in excellent location
We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights as part of a 9-day visit to the area, having picked this hotel as a result of the mainly good TA reviews, and we weren't disappointed. The hotel is situated adjacent to the port and to the bullring, and overlooks the roundabout of the Plaza del General Torrijos at the end of the Paseo Del Parque, an area within the beautiful Parque de Malaga. In all a great location, only around 10 minutes walk to the main shopping area of Calle Molina Lario, and a couple of minutes to the port and its bars and restaurants.We arrived by car and initially found it difficult to stop by the hotel, but eventually found the Calle Maestranza where we left the car briefly for it to be parked nearby by a bellboy from the hotel (charge 15¿¿¿ per day). Each day when we wanted the car we only had to wait 10 minutes for the bellboy to get it.The entrance to the hotel initially looks disappointing but once inside the hotel is great. The reception staff are efficient and friendly and speak English. Upon checking in we were also given a voucher to have a welcome glass of Cava in the hotel bar - a pleasant surprise!We had booked a junior suite on the 8th floor and the room was a good size, well decorated and furnished and overlooked the bullring. There was a complimentary safe, a mini bar, good TV and plenty of storage space. The bathroom was large with twin sinks, a separate shower and a Jacuzzi style bath. Robes and slippers were also provided. We heard very little traffic noise in our room.We ate once in the restaurant and the meal was good, reasonably priced and the service excellent and friendly. Our rate included breakfast and there was a reasonable selection of freshly prepared hot and cold food - a good start to the day.The hotel has a rooftop terrace with an enclosed hot tub, which we saw but didn¿¿¿t use, given our short time there.We thought that Malaga was a great city to visit, with it's beautiful architecture, and really good selection of bars and restaurants. Tapas bars were very reasonably priced and the food generally very good. Whilst there we have visited Malaga Cathedral (free) and the Picasso Museum (entrance fee), both of which are well worth a visit.Overall we would thoroughly recommend the hotel MS Maestranza and will stay there again when we next visit the city.

Good location
Located near the beach, and in walking distance from the old town. Perfect for our needs. Can't speak for the food, we ate breakfast in the cafe in the same builing, who has reasonably priced food, and excellent orange juice. There are som good resutrants near by as El Refrectorium, and as mentioned, the old town where resutrants are abundant is just a walk away. We were on the 11th floor, and were not bothered with noise, allthough our room was facing the intersection.The top floor has a jacuzzi with excellent view. The rooms are ok sized. The bathrooms were impecably cleaned. Some signs of wear and thear overall at the hotel, but as clean. I recommend Maestranza.

Great location, staff really friendly, lovely room
Location couldn't be better, a few minutes walk to the centre, a few minutes to the harbour or a few to the beach.We were upgraded to a junior suite on arrival which was nice, room was very clean and modern.Breakfast was ok, nothing special, but quite ok.Only downside was we had a rental car and there is no parking, so hotel suggested car park close by, the tariffs were almost impossible to work out, and we were shocked that it worked out as approx 25E per night.Malaga was a beautiful city that seems to be looked after, amazing gardens and architecture, and new harbour front restaurants are great.Will go back

The hotel was nice and clean and the service was very friendly. Moreover, it has a great location. The only negative side was the noice coming from the street below, which is understandable because of the location.
