The Adagio provides efficiency apartments for short- and long-term rental. It's located a few feet from the L'Homme de Fer tram stop in downtown Strasbourg, making it convenient to reach via public transportation. It's also just a few short blocks from the Notre Dame cathedral and the associated tourist spots. The Adagio is in a beautiful, old stone building, and some of the units have small balconies looking out over the street. The street itself is fairly busy, but the retrofitted windows do a great job of blocking out any noise. Heavy draperies also blocked out the street lights. The street entrance is kept locked at all times and is opened with your room key card. Hotel staff are on duty 24/7. All the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful, and all spoke English. The hotel is small, with three floors of rooms. There is a keyed baggage storage room, a lounge, and an outdoor patio with chairs and small tables.The room was simply decorated in a very modern style, and everything was clean. There was a desk with a concealed table for dining, a chair, and an upholstered cube for seating. The bed was a Murphy-style fold up bed, combined with a loveseat, so cushions must be moved before the bed is folded out. The toilet occupied one closet-sized room, with a separate bathroom with a full-sized tub/shower and a large sink and vanity. Although liquid soap is provided next to the sink, you'll need to use that as shampoo and shower soap, unless you supply your own. The kitchenette had a small fridge and dishwasher, a microwave oven, a 2-burner stovetop, and an electric kettle. Dishes, glassware, and flatware were sufficient for 4 people. Dish detergent, a sponge, and towels were provided for cleaning up. All fixtures, switches, and appliances worked. I agree with other reviewers that the bed was very firm, and the pillows are quite flat. Also folding up the bed was much trickier than opening it up, because all the bedding gets in the way.The Adagio provides a breakfast buffet for ¿¿¿11, but it should be for emergency use only. There are lots of places to get breakfast within 2 blocks of the hotel, and the buffet is by far the skimpiest I've ever encountered--four slices of cheese, four slices of ham, the equivalent of 3 eggs scrambled in the steam tray, a few tablespoons of raisins for your cereal--you get the idea. With all the great bakeries in Strasbourg, the hotel provided Wonderbread, and the machine that makes coffee by the cup produces the worst coffee I've ever tasted. So, if you take advantage of the local restaurants or prepare meals yourself, the Adagio is a great way to enjoy Strasbourg.

Great Location, friendly helpful staff, very clean. The fold-down bed in the apartment increases the amount of space and makes the apartment more useable. On the downside, the apartment is fairly small, and the sofa that appears when the bed is up is OK, but not overly comfortable. Lots of storage would be great for longer stays.Another reviewer said the bed was hard. That's true, but I prefer a harder bed so I didn't mind. Better a firm bed than a soft one.

We stayed 1 night in this hotel. Advantage is central location, nearby parking (20.-/30 hours), clean & quiet. The outdoor patio looks nice but it was too cold to try it. Big minus are the fold-out beds ; they were hard like a rock. The pictures on the webpage do not indicate that the beds are like that. We would have asked for a different studio or not chosen this hotel.

Compared with hotels of a similar price, this apartment hotel is a fantastic alternative. Centrally located near the tram stop at Place Kleber the rooms, whilst modest in size, are so well designed they seem much larger. Lots of storage space, a separate bathroom and toilet and a small but well equipped kitchenette make for a very pleasant stay. The hotel has 24 hour reception, a guest laundry and breakfast room. We didn't try the breakfast because after several weeks of travel we were happy to buy some provisions at the nearby supermarket and prepare our own. Staff were friendly and welcoming and most spoke very good English. Lots of restaurants and shopping nearby.

The small studio apartment is really quiet small but more than enough for a single occupier. The kitchenette (which I did not use) seems to contain everything one might need. The bathroom is small but is so arranged that you find space for your things (shelves behind the mirror). The location is great, very central and literally a minute away from several trams.The staff is really pleasant and helpful if you ask for anything.All in all I would stay there again. On the down side, there was a lack of information when I arrived. I wasn't told the bed was in the wall, coming down over the sofa, which left me looking for it for a couple of minutes before I saw the tiny little lever. Also, room cleaning isn't done everyday for longer stays (there's a notice explaining all this). Mine should have been as I only stayed two nights but was somehow forgotten. This is not pleasant when you come in after a long day of work. Fortunately, I had spare towels in the bathroom or I don't know what would have happened as the maids were gone and it seems the receptionist had no access to the linen. Free wifi. You're granted access "slices". Don't forget to disconnect when not using the wifi. You'll be able to reconnect automatically every time you go online easily. If not, your time will run out and you'll need to request another access code. Not really a problem but why waste time?
