30th birthday treat
I went and stayed at one of the apartments this weekend just gone.The check in service was smooth and the lady behind the desk I would describe as an asset to the busy.I mentioned that I was celebrating my birthday to her and that I would like some champagne glasses and an ice bucket brought up to the room. I was cooking a meal for some friends and I found all the utensils I needed,and the room was spacious and beautifully situated over looking the river.When the ice bucket arrived, Bemnet Werede-the lady who had checked me in, had very kindly arranged a complimentary bottle of champagne for me and a kind not to wish me a happy birthday. I felt very special and cared for, so thank you. I had a fantastic evening and found the client care throughout the hotel & staff was impeccable.I shall happily return to this hotel.Many thanks

Guaranteed good stay
Myself and a few friends stayed here for a Birthday trip in London earlier on in the year. The rooms were really nice and big with an excellent view over the docks and across the CW business area. Everything was very clean and felt very executive. I would wholly recommend the hotel.

Lovely rooms
Stayed here for a conference through work. The rooms are lovely and clean and very spacious. The lady I experienced when checking in could have been more helpful, and having staff prowling the floors at nights feels a bit strange when you bump into the returning home. Also the bar isn't cheap!! ¿¿9 for a G&T!!

Nice but could be better
I am half way through this stay and I really want to write great things. The location is great if you need to be in CW, it's new, it's a Marriott it should be good. Unfortunately it just continue to be average. The easterly rooms are alongside the DLR so if you suffer from light sleeping this is a disaster. The fridge in the room didn't work, the staff were using the guest laundry to wash hotel laundry- surely there is a hotel laundry for this. The water pressure is limp as is the incredibly expensive wifi! ¿¿75 for five days, surely they must realise that this is expensive and if you want to charge for premium Internet speeds in excess of 2mbs should be offered oh and of course if there is something wrong with it the hotel makes you speak to the suppliers call centre, well that's an hour I won't get back and I fear the ¿¿75 is gone too. Anyway the room is nice and very clean, although if you are over 1.90 you might find the bed too short. The staff are generally helpful although the lack of English is sometimes an issue. Anyway Ihope the second week goes better as everything should be just that bit better.

Good hotel, nice room but .....
I stayed from the 13 till the 20 of June 2012. The hotel was great. The appt. was well maintained, cleaned and with excellent in-room dining service. Location wise its ideal. The nearest station is right at the door step. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay with my wife and my toddler. However at the time of check-in the lady took a pre-auth on my card. On the 15 or 16 of June I deposited cash at the reception and asked the person to release the pre-auth. Which he confirmed that it has been forwarded to the bank and it will take 3-4 working days. At the time of checking out ¿¿¿ June 20, 2012 I again asked the supervisor about the release of the pre-auth and she said it has been processed. I returned back from London on the 23 of June and checked with my bank. And was informed that its still not released. I send a query on the Marriott International website along with a request for a copy of my folio and was promised that "the hotel will get back to me in the next 3 - 5 working days" (which was by the way on the 29 of June). Till date I have yet to hear from the hotel or Marriott International even after sending several reminders. I spent an approx 2000GBP during my stay at the hotel and I feel that the hotel does not really care about you once you have checked out. I have rated the hotel quite low in OVERALL RATING keeping the fact that my money (approx 1450 GBP) is still blocked and the hotel and Marriott does not have the courtesy to even respond back. Needless to mention that I will not be staying in any of the Marriott Properties in future.
