Great location and nice clean hotel.
I was going to the O2 arena to see Beyonce and I found that the hotel was perfect in terms of location, accessibility and cleanliness. The rates were also very good considering you were so close to everything. My room view was looking out onto the Financial Quarter and the O2 arena which was really nice. Considering most hotels in this area cost ¿¿200-¿¿300 a night, this was an absolute steal at ¿¿81! I would definitely recommend this and am looking to go back in July for when Michael Buble hits town!

Pretending to be more than it is
This hotel is close to DLR and tube (Canary Wharf), inside banking business district, so I was expecting place to live up to business standards. Unfortunately it isn't even close. We were welcomed by international staff with understandable, but hardly proper English and they offered us completely different rooms than we booked. Then it turned out that staff needs IT training, they couldn't handle room changing within the system. Rooms are worn out, everything looks and feels old. No fridge, too soft beds, yellow-ish dirty bathroom. Very dirty windows, which are impossible to open. One power socket available for the whole room. Internet is free, but not very reliable. Breakfast surprisingly good, everything hot, although I've seen better quality bacon. Soundproofing is pretty bad, we could hear people talking on the corridor as well as rumbling from nearby DLR trains. I understand that with reasonable - actually cheap prices they could do some shortcuts, but not that much.One interesting thing was fire alert drill, there were even announcements about it, but absolutely nobody reacted. I wonder what would happen in case of real fire.

Dirty really disappointed
On arrival it looked good, reception area clean, staff looked smart and everything seemed ok, then we stepped out of the lift onto our floor first thing I noticed carpets probably hadn't been hoovered in a long time rounded the corner to find our room and funny enough tripped up on a Hoover that a cleaner had left in corridor. Outside a couple of bedrooms were trays of empty bottles and glasses thinking maby the cleaner was goin to pick them up but the day we left they were still there disgusting... In our room there were light bulbs not working, shower head was dirty mould in bathroom everywhere. Wall paper peeling off and dirty.. Hair dryer was situated in draw (which is normal) except the wen trying to get it out there was only a foot of cord which ment having to dry my hair almost with head in draw.. Challenging was an understatement. Went to restaurant to have pizza only ones in there and it took 20min to b served and another 30min to get pizza.. The phone continued to ring whilst the staff stood about talking. Came back to room and thought it was very cold turned heating up to 24c where all night it continued to blow out cold air of 16c needed to use the extra blankets just to keep warm.... Only positives I can say we're bed was comfy and clean and shower was powerful and breakfast was good other than that very disappointed how they managed to get 4* is beyond me :-) shall not b recommending to anyone

AWFUL!!
This is one of the worst hotels i have ever stayed in!I stayed at the weekend with my mum and Step dad as we were going to a concert at the 02.At first Glance it seemed ok, very grand but the decor was very dated felt like i was walking around on the Titanic.When we got to the room the carpets were stained and the wallpaper was falling off! I sat on my bed to test the comfort and it was extremely creaky and springs poking in my back..... it was so bad when i eventually went to bed every time i moved the bed squeaked so much i had to sleep on the dirty floor!!! The other two beds were the same but not as bad.When my step dad lifted the loo seat there was dried poo on it!.. AWFULIn the morning the maids knocked at woke us up at 9AM to clean our room!! when check out was 11.And as for breakfast!!! for such a big hotel they had a very small dining area... we had to Que for 20 minuets before we even got in the dining room! Then another 20 minuets to even get to the hot food which was tasteless and fatty!There was no clean cups for coffee and tea i had to ask a member of staff to go get me some from the kitchen!The only good thing about this hotel is it is close to the 02 only one tube stop away!

Crap and cheap needs a good clean
To say I was disappointed was a understatement. Bath was dirty. shower head did not look like it had been cleaned since fitting. Not clean, small bed, sofa ripped. Cheap and crap. I would not come again or recommend this hotel to anyone
