Clean, comfortable, friendly and close to all the sights
This hotel ticks most of the boxes and the service is friendly and really helpful. Rooms are a good size, functional in style but have all you need. Proximity to the harbour/ aquarium and sights is great, just a 5 or 6 minute walk. 15 minute taxi ride from the airport (15 euro or so). We went in early May, the bar area was not used in that time from what I could tell and really just a portion of the hotel reception area. Breakfasts were good, great choice of fruit, pastries, cheeses and meats etc. Several items locally sourced. Free use of computers in the atrium, free internet all make it easy to keep in touch. Train and buses leave the main station two or three minutes walk away from the hotel. We went to Ile de Re which took about an hour depending on which part you are visiting. Ile de Re is a lovely, lovely place to visit. La Rochelle also fab, but be prepared for row after row of really good seafood restaurants - fab!

Modern, quiet and nice location
There are lot of old hotels in the port but I picked this modern because of the location and the decor. The hotel is just a 5-10 minute walk away from the beautiful old port, the aquarium and the train station. Because it is not in the port it is a lot quieter at night.Our room was a good size, simple and modern but tastfully decorated with a confortable bed. The only negative point was the bath/shower which was raised and difficult to get in and out off. (and i'm not a pensioner!)The hotel has it's own underground car park. Convinient but a real squeeze.

Not typical
This by far one the best "best Westerns" I have stayed in. The room, very clean (405 ) was the largest I have been in sine working in Europe . There is a walk in - closet. The bathroom was extremely large the room has a sitting area. A large desk to work from. the WiFi works well enough to stream video. All this for a great price. There is a breakfast that is better than most hotels Eggs Bacon . The staff is extremely helpful. Parking is underground and secured by your room key. Nits: there is no restaurants in the hotel and nothing that is less that 7 min walk. There is however a Bar that is open in the evening.

Great for a city break
This is a fab hotel for a city break in La Rochelle. We arrived on Friday evening by train and were pleased to find the hotel only 4 minutes from the station!! Easy! We spent a lovely weekend exploring the city (and of course the aqarium!) All of which are only a short walk from the hotel! The hotel is modern in style and decor. Our bedroom on the 4th floor had a lovely view over the rooftops of La Rochelle, it was peaceful and spacious with a lovely sized bathroom (with bath). The hotel had a bar which we used for a nightcap - not that expensive when compared to the restaurants in the town so really made our stay special. The town of La Rochelle is lovely with the old town and old port full of bustling restaurants and bars so well worth a visit!We were also amazed by the aquarium - a great trip and topped off by a fab meal in the restaurant there overlooking the town...all less than 5 minutes from our hotel.This hotel made our weekend perfect, modern and calm, just away from the noisy main roads.

Enjoyed the pleasant stay
I was there on a business trip. The hotel is in walking distance from train station if you plan to visit by public transportation. the front desk are friendly, helpful and English capable :)The breakfast is good as well.
