There is better available
No on site parking, this a problem on Broad Street, curt staff & run down & scruffy rooms & expensive. There are a few hotels on Broad Street, I only stayed here because the Hyatt was full but there is better available

Great location and helpful staff
We stayed here for a couple of nights while attending a conference at the NEC. The hotel is located very close to the city centre which made getting the train to/from the NEC very easy. The majority of the staff were quite helpful and friendly, but we found one of the more senior staff working on the reception desk to be rude to both guests and to the other staff working on reception too. The room we were given hadn't been cleaned, but a quick call to reception and keys were brought up to another room very quickly. The room was clean and fairly typical for Novotel's around the world - comfy bed, good size bathroom, couch & desk.We booked our room on Wotif.com so got a very good price for the room. I would probably consider staying here again due to its location.

Weekend away and a buisness stay
Hotel was good, and all staff were happy and friendly. Great customer service, Nice standard (I've always found quite a good standard across novotel hotels). Pillows were a bit uncomfortable but you cant have everything!

Average
Not as good as you would think, supposedly one of birmingham's top Hotels but there is nothing special to it. Better off staying in the Jurys inn over the road. This hotel is way over priced for what you get.

novotel birmingham centre
l recently stayed with my family at novotel birmingham city centre,we found the location easy to find and was greetedby staff who were very helpful with travelling around the area.transport and shopping was good,the nightlife was very lively and found the people lively,but not intrusive.the hotel facilities was good for me and my family as there is a gym/sauna...food was good and building standard very clean,there is a carpark,yes we had agood weekend.but the only negative was we could not park in the carpark as our 9 seater van was to high,but staff recommended a carpark next to the hotel.
