A good over night stay
Room comfortable and very clean. Good value for money. Breakfast was good, offered more tea and toast. Disadvantages, reception and eating area in another building to our room and no lift so a lot of stairs if you are at the top. Hotel situated in a lovely area, walking distance from Victoria. Having stayed in other Hotels in London, this represented excellent value for the money, and would stay there again.

A Charmless esatablishment.
There is nothing worse than a charmless, uninterested welcome when arriving at an establishment. Everything supplied was the barest of minimum, even having to ask reception for tea and coffee facilities. The Beds were good and the eggs at breakfast otherwise all pretty horrible. Our froom on the top floor was 95 steep steps away from reception and with luggage that is no joke. The breakfast room is far too small for the number of guests and because they want last orders on a Sunday at 8.30am everyone comes down at a similar time leaving an unsightly queue on the stairs. At half the price I would have expected all this but it was appalling value resulting in a lot of pretty dispondant looking guests.

Disappointing, disorganised
Disappointed with this hotel but we did almost get away without paying - when we checked in, the owner hadn't asked me about paying so i said "do we pay when we check out" then she realised. Wish I hadn't mentioned it because it certainly wasn't worth ¿¿89 for one night. We'd reserved a double room with a double bed but were given 2 single beds, separated by a table so we couldn't even move them together. The beds move away from the wall and there was no duvet, as if we were in the Mediterranean. Luckily we went on a fairly warm spring weekend but can imagine it could be quite cold in the winter. The owner/manager doesn't speak very good English and isn't particularly friendly. My shower took about 5 minutes to warm up and the head was duct-taped to the wall so you couldn't move it. A lot of stairs to get to our basic room and we could hear creaking from the room above. The 'full English' consists of one sausage, one piece of bacon, a handful of beans and eggs how you like them. It just seems like the owner doesn't care much., which is a shame as it has the potential to be a lovely hotel The only positives I would say are that the rooms are spacious and fairly clean and tidy, the area is nice and quiet and it's in a good location (5 mins to Pimlico station) for getting around London. It was OK for one night (we stayed here after a gig at Brixton Academy and before the London Marathon) but wouldn't recommend for a longer stay.

Looks better than how it is
I did not like too much this hotel. The staff is not particularly kind. There is not elevator and your room can be at the 6th or 7th floor, but you will find out this only when you arive to the hotel....Rooms are clean but old and stained.The breakfast is ONLY english breakfast and is not rich neither abndant.

Bed and bath problems
Our stay at the hotel was a bit disappointing. It all began with the hotel being split in two buildings... And we were told the room was in the 2nd floor, but actually had to go up four flights of stairs which was no fun with large luggage. The bed was really unconfortable... Small for a couple, and everytime one of us moved the other sprang up on the other side. Sheets didn't seem to fit the bed. Had trouble with the bathroom as well. Difficult to flush toilet, shower sprayed water everywhere and door didn't close well... Ended up with water everywhere! Noisy street in the front to top it all up.Room was clean... Breakfast so-so... But better than what we expected.
