Just what I wanted
Away on a training course with work for two nights. Booked in at the Holiday Inn Bexley. Quick and helpful reception staff. Had dinner in the restaurant with a colleague, lovely steak the first night, had sea bass the second night which was delicious. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay, would highly recommend for anyone needing a decent room and good food. Big thanks to Sam, Daisy and Amelia, great service :-)

One night stay
We arrived and checked in, the receptionists were very friendly and helpful, we put luggage in our room and then met family in the bar area for something to eat and a drink after our journey. Our room had a few cobwebs and a cracked wall mirror, but other than that was ok. We had a wait to order our drink at the bar, but food was lovely. The reception ordered our taxi for us to take us to our evening venue. When we arrived back to the hotel with friends and family we waited nearly half and hour for the "barman" to do 1 round of 6 drinks, then he didn't serve in turn, when help did eventually arrive he was just as slow not to mention as rude as the first barman.At breakfast we were spoilt for choice, the food was superb, nice and hot and freshly cooked, and it was an all you can eat breakfast. would def recommend the food here. comfort of the room was ok, but plug sockets are a bit sparce. and there is a fee for parking your car!!!!

Great Service, friendly staff grear for a family on a short stay.
Just off the the A2 at Bexely it's very easy to find. The staff I seriously could not praise highly enough, our two children were treated brilliantly by the very efficient young man on reception on the 27/04/13 ( I put the date in so that hopefully one of mangement will see the comment lol). The rooms were standard, very clean and spacious. We were down for a family weekend and the receptionist hepled us out with a good local taxi service. The breakfast was excellent and the kids really enjoyed making their own pancakes (again with the help of a very nice lady in the breakfast room). We usually stay at the Marriott but I am more than happy to switch my custom to the Holiday Inn.

Excellent Hotel!!!!!!!!
I booked this hotel as part of their marathon package for the London Marathon 2013 and was more than happy with the hotel and the service.Room: - It was Clean, Tidy and comfortable and with 4 of us staying in the one room, more that spacious enough.Food: - The hotel put on a special "Marathon" breakfast and pre evening meal which was fantastic. We had 2 evening meals and 2 breakfasts during our stay and all were really good. One of the best breakfast buffets and varieties ive seen in a hotel, all piping hot, well cooked and of a high quality. The evening meals again had a good choice and were lovely!.Staff: - All very polite and attentive throughout the stay and cannot fault them or their service.Location:- The hotel is a short 10 min walk into Bexley where there is a train station that takes you direct into London. The public transport is spot on and had no problem on the 3 days getting back and to from the city.***If you are running the marathon next year book this hotel with the marathon package. If you are going to London on a short break and dont want the hassle of getting into the city with parking, congestion charges etc...book this hotel. Residents ¿¿3 a day parking which is great.Overall a fantastic stay... Thank you Holiday Inn.

Getting better
I have been staying 1 or 2 nights most weeks for the past 5 months, and during that time my experience has changed.In the beginning I had a lot of problems with the service side in the restaurant and the bar. Front of House was very friendly and most efficient, so when I was asked "was everything OK?" I let go with both barrels. Anyway, the upshot is that both the Hub and General Manager took my grumble seriously and the change is obvious. Not just for me, but for others who have nothing but praise for the hotel now.Just a few niggles remain. 1) The trouser press may or may not work2) Only 2 white sugars on the room tea tray (I take at least 4)3) It can be a bit noisy in some rooms with the busy A2 running along side.4) If you get a room near the smoking rooms, the smell can be a bit intrusive.5) The food is getting to be a bit "samey" and the menu doesn't really change al that much.
