The staff was friendly but Felix was the host with the most. He checked us in and upgraded us to a pent house. Very large and spacious. There was a comfortable bed and very comfortable sofa and great view looking to the front. The path train within walking distance and short ride to New York.The fridge ,coffee maker and microwave was a plus also tea and coffee was provided. DH had the buffet breakfast and I had the full breakfast both were excellent. Felix's mother raised a wonderful young man. We would stay again.

Don't touch the water
We stayed in a partial view king size ap on 12th floor. Partial view means that the roon faces the side of the building and you can see a part of Manhattan and either the Jersey city or the Newport. The room was big, with huge and conf bed. There is fridge, microwave, coffee machine with coffee and tea. Next to the machine you'll find two bottles of water, not in the fridge. DON'T THINK ITS FREE. free is only the coffee powder not the water you need to make it. Each bottle costs 10 $. As 3-4 coffees at the Starbuck!!!! It's pure fraud but unfortunately its not on EU to suit them. As for the transportation the Newport station is 340 m away. On weekends and after midnight, the trip to midtown takes 20 min because it goes first to Hoboken. Not all the Path stations are at the same station with metro. The ticket costs 2,5 $ and you can take it from machine only. If you are a family be prepared for a chaos. The machine can't give more than one ticket a time, can't accept credit cards more than once (for safety reasons they said!!!) and can't give change for a banknote bigger than 10$. So if you come from the airport be sure you have many single or 5 or 10 $.

Convenient Hotel
Great location and decent price. This hotel offers excellent service in a convenient location. Just a few minutes walk from excellent public transportation with access to Manhattan. There are several decent restaurants within walking distance as well.

The perfect place to stay!
When visiting the New York City area, consider staying at the DoubleTree in Jersey City. They have an excellent staff, the hotel is convenient to the Light Rail and Path station, and the overall experience of the stay is wonderful.

Great Hotel and Fantastic Location
I stayed here with my family for 5 nights and everything about the hotel was great. The staff bent over backwards to help us and make our stay comfortable, we were allowed to check in early (as we were from australia we were not use to the March cold weather) and always got upgraded to a suite. We originally booked for 3 nights but wanted to stay longer, the lady at reception gave us a really good price. She was very welcoming as well. She helped us find the pathway so we could get into Manhattan and see the 9/11 memorial. As we plan our trip to NY for 2014 we will surely book with this hotel.
