We checked in on Friday at 4 p.m. and out by 8:30 p.m. Here's what went wrong:1. My husband had arranged with concierge specialist Catherine for a bottle of sparkling apple juice and a special card for me to be in our room upon arrival. Neither were there. Ultimately, the staff sent up a bottle of Proseco (Italian sparkling wine) and a generic welcome card. My husband, not knowing what Proseco is, tried to open the bottle but couldn't get the cork out and asked for my help. That's when I noticed it was wine. Had he been able to get the cork out, he would have been drinking the wine. My husband has nearly 20 years of sobriety from alcohol. The carelessness of the hotel staff came very close to ruining our lives.2. While my husband and I left for a spa treatment, I took along our cell phone in case our dog started acting up while we were gone. Upon return from the spa, the key to our room wouldn't work and our dog was very upset and barking/whining. My husband went to get a replacement key - meanwhile I can hear a guy across the hall screaming that he wants to kill my dog.3. The second key would not work. We called a manager to come to the door. Her key wouldn't work. Apparently, the battery on the card reader stopped working.4. While waiting for the engineer to let us in the room, the screaming guy across the hall threatened to assault my husband.The only reason I would go back to Hotel Ivy is if I had a death wish.

I surprised my wife with a weekend getaway at Hotel Ivy. We were pampered with contemporary comfort all weekend. Concierge specialist Catherine arranged for rose petals and flowers to be in our room upon arrival. My wife enjoyed a massage in the serene Ivy Spa Club while I exercised in the Ivy Fitness Club. The Ivy Spa Club was very well run and a true getaway. The Ivy Fitness Club had an amazing amount of exercising options, better than any hotel I've ever experienced. Our Grand Deluxe Room was spacious, stylish, filled with amenities and impeccably clean. Travis Toliver, director of rooms, provided excellent service with our reservations and on-site requests. When we woke up in the mornings we felt like we were at home! Thank you Hotel Ivy, we will see you again!

We stayed here for 4 nights this month - the first room we were given was a joke, so after the first night we were upgraded to an "executive suite" which wasn't really much better, but was a tad bigger bedroom with larger bathroom. Room Service: Shout out to CHUNG for being amazingly nice and having great service- the food wasn't great though.Bell Man Service: Outstanding, especially JABO who has worked there for 5 years.Business Center: not what I would consider a business center. There is two computers from 1999 that are covered in dust- which brings me to the WIFI. The WIFI didn't work the entire time we were there and is the reason I used the business center, it worked but literally crawled along.Location: Prime - probably the best part of the hotelGym: Outstanding, the best I have seen at a hotelBar/Restaurant: Can't speak to the food because we never ate there, but the service was great in the bar. Hated the mixed drinks I had but the beer was flowing.Our biggest complaints about the room is there in NO closet- it's simply an armoire type deal, with no drawers. When staying for 4 nights+ you are going to want/need drawers so that was very annying. Also, our room didn't get cleaned one night as well. When we complained they took off the $20 room service charge we had.We heard this place is bankrupt/looking for a buyer and I'm really not surprised.For the price, this place isn't worth it, we probably will not stay here again but it was decent.

This is a great hotel for anyone in town to meet with target - its about 1.5 blocks away from the main entrance and is perfect for business travelers. Restaurant is also very good so you can stay put for dinner/ any meal. Highly recommend!

I stayed at the Hotel Ivy for a convention and was very impressed with the quality of the room and the service. The convention center was less than 5 minutes away from the hotel by the skyway and I found myself sneaking away to my room on many occasions to relax and unwind. With a gym, spa. and restaurant all located within the building and everything a short walk through the skyway away, you can't go wrong here. Top notch hotel!
