Awesome location and views outside of NYC
The reception and check-in staff are informative and knowledgable about area public transportation and local businesses. The only issue I had was no early check-in was available and, although I was told my luggage would be held and placed in my room prior to my return to check in (at 9pm), it was not done and it was somewhat of a hassle to obtain my luggage. The view was lovely and there are good restaurants nearby outside the hotel.

Superb views of Manhattan without the price!
We stayed for five nights in April and were glad that we booked this hotel for the second part of our New York / Boston holiday. We had stayed in midtown Manhattan for two nights when we first arrived. Sheraton Lincoln Harbor gave us the peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of Manhattan - just what we wanted. Our suite was spacious and furnished to expectations with superb views of Manhattan. I am a lifetime Gold SPG member and have stayed in many SPG properties in America, Europe and Asia with many experiences - some outstanding and some just average. I am pleased to say that my husband and I had a pleasant stay. The Club Lounge was satisfactory if not up to the standards of luxury found in the Far East SPG hotels. The staff were professional and friendly. After the major business Westin hotels, it is a welcome change to check in at a smaller and more relaxed environment! The ferry to Manhattan is on the doorstep and you can walk to Hoboken and enjoy views of Manhattan along the way.

Excellent Location, Wonderful Staff
Just spent 4 days at the Sheraton Lincoln Harbor. The staff is amazing, friendly, helpful and willing to go the extra mile. They gave us all the tips we needed for a fantastic weekend in NYC. The views are amazing! And you don't need to deal with the NYC noise.They have a nice workout room and there is a pool but its rather small but perfect for a nice dip after a day of walking around the city.The 158 bus is practically right out the front door and will take you straight into Port Authority for $3.20 pp or take the ferry for around $9...this is a nice/fast way to cross the Hudson but pricey. We took the PATH at one point then caught a cab to the hotel...around $10 for the cab and a few dollars for the PATH (don't remember the exact amount).The only downsides were the walls are fairly thin and even though our neighbors weren't loud, we could hear them talking and laughing more than I would have expected. Also, the internet is not free in the rooms and they charge per device...not cool.

Convenient to NYC but paper-thin walls and no lobby space
The pros of this hotel are the location and staff. It is just one bus stop away from the 42nd St bus terminal, and the Hudson-Bergen light rail is not far away either. Ferry is also close by, but we did not take it. But beware that the bus service can experience delays going through the Lincoln tunnel during rush hour. Staff was customer friendly and nice. Also, our room had a partial view of Manhattan.The cons are many for a 4-star hotel:We stayed on the Starwood Preferred Guest floor, and the walls were paper-thin. We could hear people walking and talking through the hallway and accessing the Coke machine, and the most annoying thing was that we could hear every single word and their dog barking from our neighbors. Double doors separated our room from theirs. The couple would start arguing at 7am, and the wife peppered her conversation with every single 4-lettter swear word in the English dictionary. The dog would chime in as well with his barking. It was as if we were rooming with our neighbors. It's just so damn annoying and disappointing to experience this in a 4-star hotel. Furthermore, the shower floor area was level with the rest of the bathroom floor, and water easily spread onto the bathroom floor, creating a big mess to clean up. Poor design is all I can say. Finally, there is no lobby space to sit down and relax. There was only a business center that took up the majority of the lobby space. The lobby setting was more like what one would see in a 2-star hotel. Very disappointing.Overall, I would not recommend this hotel if you want a 4-star experience, mainly due to the paper-thin walls on the Starwood Preferred Guest floor, the leaky shower area, and the lack of lobby space. It is more like a 2-star hotel experience. And the nightly rate does not justify the hotel experience that we went through. The only reason why they can jack the prices is that it is convenient to Manhattan.

Decent stay
I was visiting this area on business. My room was upgraded and I had a nice spacious city-view room. Very convenient location with easy access to Manhattan by ferry - this was probably the best thing about the hotel. All of the staff was very helpful and friendly. I had room service and the food wasn't the greatest.
