We were married at Shrewsbury Castle on 26th May and having had many excellent visits to Drapers Hall we decided to hold our reception there. The minute we got there we were greeted by Nigel and his staff who served us Pimms and delicious canapes. We had plenty of time to chat and have drinks from the newly refurbished well stocked bar. The waiter came round and took our food orders from the wonderful varied menu that Nigel himself had created. My daughter is a very fussy eater so she was asked exactly what she wanted, soup and Lasagne. The hall looked amazing the tables were laid beautifully and everything we had asked to be done was done. The food was served quickly and professionally, everyone having exactly what they had ordered. The food was absolutely superb, everyone commented on the meringue swans. We had the full use of Drapers Hall for the entire day and evening Then later in the evening we were served mezes and cheeses. The staff were always on hand and nothing was to much trouble for them. We took four bedrooms which are amazing, clean, warm,comfortable with a power shower or bath and a good selection of complimentary toiletries. We had breakfast at a time to suit us. This again was fabulous with fresh fruits breads and a huge full english fruit juices teas and coffees. All our guests commented on how wonderful the day was and a few will certainly be coming back to dine. We couldnt have asked for a better day. Nigel, Sharon and all your staff thank you so much for making our day so special.

Arranged a suprise stay for my wife and I over the weekend. Service was outstanding from the initial booking right through to checking out. The room and food were also excellent. But the real star of the show was the new bar area. Open, relaxed feel and great atmosphere. Small but well maintained court yard just off the bar ensuring even when out for a cigarette you never really feel like your really out of the action. What a fantastic stay. Will be going back next week for drinks.!

We stayed in the Orange Room which was lovely and clean. The bells did disturb us a bit but would stay in the room again without hesitation. Food was fab, good quality and the staff were lovely. Good location and although the Parking wasnt ideal we parked at the NCP carpark which is just a short walk away. Hope to stay at Drapers Hall again!

A superb location in a grade 2 listed building with bags of character. We were made to feel very welcome, the suite was superb and the breakfast was probably the best I have eaten in any hotel.The restaurant was closed due to refurbishment so we will just have to return as most of the locals rated the food as the best in Shrewsbury.

We attended a wedding reception at Drapers Hall on 20/04/2013. The ceremony took place at Shrewsbury castle and then all the guests made the short walk to Drapers Hall. Drapers proved to be a beautiful and atmospheric venue with stunning period features and charm. We were greeted with Pimms and a selection of fruits in champagne flutes and served a delightful array of stunning and delicious canap¿¿s. The wedding breakfast was superb, quite easily the most delicious food I have experienced at a wedding reception, the service was excellent, we found the staff to be pleasant, polite and efficient. Following the meal guests moved to the second floor to see the cutting of the cake and were served tea and coffee. After a short period of time the downstairs venue had been transformed to allow for the evening entertainment. Thanks to all of team at Drapers, an excellent time was had by all!
