We stayed for 5 nights in this hotel. Room nice and clean, beds not as comfortable as home but then what hotel bed is as nice as your own bed? Staff are very pleasant, nothing too much trouble. We had a lovely time, nice bar and lounge. Good English breakfast. Hotel is so convenient, a little noise from their special functions but to be expected in a town pub. Would highly recommend. Will stay there again.

Although the room was fairly comfertable, it was not particulaly clean, especially the bathroom. The window, which overlooked the main road could not be closed. The night we stayed, a Saturday night the first weekend in March, there was the monthls pub disco, which went on until 2 am. We were pre-warned that there might be a noise issue. With the open window, you can imagine it was particularly noisy. If you have more than an average sized car, do not attempt to get into the car park. The entrance is very narrow. I can put up with the above but to cap it all I have been charged three times for the room. The manager is convieniently not available, so I am still waiting to get a refund.

We stayed at the Kings Arms Hotel, Malmesbury from 21-23 March 2013. The stay was due to a wedding at the Abbey. There was a group of 7 of us staying in 4 different rooms.We stayed in room 8 which was a large double room with shower.Restaurant was superb, very good evening meal, and a very hearty breakfast was served in the mornings.

My husband and I stayed at the kings arms hotel for one night a few weeks ago. We had looked at many different hotels in the area and found this to be the most reasonably priced. We decided not to opt for the breakfast as it was 10 pounds each but I liked the fact we had the option! The hotel reception, hallways and dining area looked very nice. Althought they seem to have an obsession with chairs in strange places! Our room was unusual as it had a step up to the window and a odd chair! The floor actually slopped and I would not recommend it when drunk! However it is an old buidling and this wasn`t a problem. The bathroom was small and the shower took a good 5 minutes to heat up to luke warm. The window didn`t lock or close properly but again it was an old window. The staff were very helpful and the bar was busy and drinks were reasonably priced. I would stay again but just to advise other travellers you get what you pay for....this is the cheapest hotel in the area afterall!

Well located in the town centre and seemingly good value on paper, we decided on The Kings Arms for an 18th party stayover.Other than the friendly reception by the proprietor and his staff, the experience is best forgotten with unchanged linen, sauna hot room due to lack of rad control, cracked window glass and numerous other irritations and annoyances including a huge kitchen extractor throbbing under said window.Part of the establishment is the local wannabee musician venue situated 5 metres away across the yard which thumped on until 1.00 am until the huge bouncers ejected vomitting and spaced out enthusiasts onto the street outside.A 30% reduction was demanded and granted although we would rather have had night's sleep!
