Excellent location, bit noisy but it is Leicester Square!
My partner and I stayed here for one night in April for a theatre trip.I booked the room and theatre tickets through Lastminute.com so shortly before our stay I emailed the hotel to check everything was in order. They responded really quickly, confirmed our room booking and that we could drop off our suitcase before the official check in time.On arrival we were very kindly upgraded to a king suite and were able to check into our room even though we had arrived over 2 hours before the check in time.Throughout our stay all the staff we spoke to were really friendly and helpful. Our room was great, a beautiful view out across Leicester Square, large, clean, huge bed, and with toiletries, dressing gowns, water and tea making facilities all provided. The only slight downside was that I wasn't able to get much sleep due to the noise of a couple of the bars in Leicester Square. Obviously, this hotel is right on Leicester Square, so I was expecting a bit of noise, however as we went on a Monday night I didn't think it would be too bad. And in fairness it wasn't like a club night outside the window, but I could feel the thump of the bass which did disturb my sleep (I am a slight sleeper however so others may be fine).We chose to have breakfast in the hotel in the morning which was excellent. A massive choice of cereals, pastries, fruit, cheese, cold meats, yoghurts, standard cooked breakfast items, toast, tea and coffee. An excellent way to set ourselves up for the day, we didn't eat again until we were on the train home.All in all a great stay. I'd definitely stay there again if visiting London although I would perhaps request a room away from the Square (however that would mean missing out on the view).

Fantastic Location and a beautiful Luxury Hotel
This Hotel is in a quiet corner in Leicester Square. It is in a perfect Location for sightseeing and theatres and the half price theatre box office is practically outside the front door. When we checked in, we were asked if we would like a glass of water while they sorted out our reservation. The staff were friendly and helpful and informed us that if we needed anything just to let them know. We had a huge room overlooking the square and I have never seen a bed so big. There was a complimentary bottle of water in the room. There was also an Ipod docking station should you wish to listen to your music. There was plenty of choice for breakfast between cooked breakfast, continental with croissants, cold meats and cereals or bit of everything if you have a big appetite. We spoke to an American couple staying at the Hotel and they told us their room overlooked a dark alley and they heard all sorts going on at night from people who probably didn't want to be seen, so it would be worth requesting a room at the front if possible. The Hotel was spotlessly clean with bouncy soft carpets. We thought it may be noisy at night, but it wasn't too bad. There is a Yates on one side and another pub on the other but the music wasn't too loud. Overall, this is a luxury Hotel is a perfect area and I look forward to staying again soon. Enjoy

A fine hotel; A Superb Staff
The Hampshire has got all that a vacation traveler needs: Location. A welcoming front desk and concierge. Clean rooms. Pleasant surroundings. We can't say enough about Alex, David, Keran and Daniel. Barbara and the rest of the front desk staff do a wonderful job of making a visitor feel welcome. Always ready to be of assistance! Our room was very pleasant, even though the view of the beige brick wall outside of the windows was not. Lighting could be improved, especially in the bathroom. Very difficult to shower; the glass door, less than half the length of the tub, did not keep water from flowing over the edge of the tub and on to the floor, making large puddles. Other than that, our stay in London was most pleasant and we highly recommend the Radisson Blu Edwardian Hampshire. Located in Leicester (pronounced "Lester") Square, it is within "a ten minute walk" to most of the area's attractions such as Trafalgar Square, the theater district, etc. In fact, a TKTS discount theater ticket booth is located just outside the hotel's front door. Thanks to all at thew Hampshire for helping to make our stay in London a memorable experience!

Location, Location, Location!
I booked this hotel a couple of weeks ago through lastminute.com and it was a secret hotel where you only know the location not the actual hotel until you have paid. This was a very good deal and excellent value for central London. The hotel is located right on Leicester Square and central for many of London¿¿¿s sight¿¿¿s with Oxford Street, Covent Garden, Piccadilly and Trafalgar Square all within easy walking distance. Check in was very friendly and I was allocated a large standard room on the 5th floor. The room was clean with all the facilities I would expect ¿¿¿ tea/coffee making facilities, toiletries, hair dryer and iron. The bed was extremely comfortable and there was no noise and I slept really well.The only negative was I had a cocktail in the bar prior to going out for dinner and the cocktail was more ice than alcohol. I did not eat at the hotel so cannot comment on the standard of food as there are many restaurants within the immediate area.I would definitely stay here again as the location was fantastic and the rooms were large and clean.

Great Hotel in London
On arrival we realized there was a slight mixup in the reservation where we requested two singles but they only had a double room available. They quickly remedied the error by upgrading are room to a larger one with a king bed and provided the cot for free. The room was very large by European stardards and I thought they handled the hiccup nicely. Clean hotel, friendly staff. As far as location. Central to everything. Think of it as being in the time square of London. Very loud and hectic and on evenings in the weekend the crowd in the surrounding areas is a bit chaotic (and drunk). You have to take the good with the bad and for a short stop over this is where you want be, right in the middle of the action. London is a huge city. Think it's important for people to have expectations managed properly. To note, I heard none of the noise from our room, it was only when we were outside the hotel coming back in the evening.
