What is TripAdvisor?

Excellent for the price

I would like to start this by saying we paid $16/night (midweek). $16! Now, think about what you would picture a $16 hotel to look like. I'm picturing...

Excellent for the price

I would like to start this by saying we paid $16/night (midweek). $16! Now, think about what you would picture a $16 hotel to look like. I'm picturing a hostel with bugs for sure. You can't even camp for $16 anymore. For $16, this hotel is EXCELLENT. That doesn't mean it's a Ritz-Carlton. That means the room was perfectly clean, bug-free, had amazing climate control and had surprisingly comfortable beds. The staff was friendly and they even upgraded us to a river view room because they had vacancies. The outdoor pool was a perfect temperature and you can see the river from the pool area.

HORIBLE

I stayed on May 26 and the room was nasty. My white bed spread had yellow stains on it. The sheet had black stains on them and the carpet was very dirty. The guest across the way from me had a bunch of kids that were running up and down the hall, their door stayed open until about 12am. No coffee makers in the room, no iron and ironing boards in the room. I even called for extra blankets and never got them. NEVER AGAIN WILL I STAY THERE!

Get what you pay for

River Palms was one of my favorite hotels when going to Laughlin but not so much any more. Rooms were clean and comfortable, but the rest hotel is getting run down. There are only table games on Friday and Saturday night, but to our surpise, there was only two blackjack tables and no craps. Unacceptable!

Going Down Hill?

I've been to Laughlin many times in the past, and have stayed in various hotels on the river. River Palms has been the second hotel in Laughlin that I have spent the night the most. Not sure what is going on lately, but seems like it is going down hill. I remember the rooms were better maintained, the beds had the extra cover on it, now its just white sheets. The casino area used to be two floors, now its just secluded to the first floor and not many slot machines...Overall, I guess, you get what you pay for. So it was not that bad.

Tired and in urgent need of a revamp

Cheap and cheerful, but a sad reflection of what it once was. Will someone please spend some money to upgrade this hotel. For all its fault, this hotel still offers one of the best priced nights to be found in Laughlin.
