Amazing as always
My husband and I decided to return to the Padma 5 days into our honeymoon. After spending the first half of our trip in a so called "private villa" in Seminyak, we decided to end our stay early and head back to the one place we know is always consistent. This was my 4th stay at the Padma and as always, the breakfast was amazing, the pool was clean, staff were so helpful and the bed very comfortable. I have stayed in the Premier Room and the Deluxe Chalet King but certainly prefer the Deluxe Chalet King. The grounds near the breakfast area were under construction as they were building a new pool for the fish but never once did we hear any banging or noise from this area, even when we were laying in front of it at the pool.

Fabulous resort
My husband and I and our daughter and son-in-law stayed for 7 days at the Garden Club at the Padma Resort. We absolutely loved every minute of our stay, the rooms were beautiful, the staff wonderful and welcoming and very accommodating and the food was beautiful. The grounds were very well cared for and beautiful. While we shared our breakfasts each morning, the squirrels scampered up and down the trees outside the Garden Club, it was a most enjoyable experience. We look forward to staying there again on our next visit to Bali. Highly recommend this resort for absolute luxury and enjoyment.

we specifically picked this hotel because it was kid friendly - which it is..BUT
We have just returned from a week at the Padma. We really enjoyed ourselves with our three small children. The hotel is well located with the beach just across the road, it's clean, the staff are friendly, the food is good. It covers everything.My only 2 gripes are mostly to do about the kids. And I have to say that we specifically picked this hotel because it was kid friendly - which it is..but.. My first grumble is more of a safety concern that really needs to be addressed and only applies to families with small children in interconnecting rooms. I had wrongly assumed that the balcony door would remained locked once a parent had locked it. However it seems most days after a room service the balcony door would be left unlocked. I can see why it happens but I can also see the potential for a serious accident with children in a room with a balcony and the door unlocked (unbeknown to the parents who thought they had already locked it). I have written this to management as feedback because it did concern me but I thought it was also wise to warn other families about it. Check and lock the balcony doors everyday after a room clean! And management please ask your staff to lock the doors.Secondly the main kids pool (where the 'Lion's Head' is according to my children) is right near one of the swim up bars which of course attracts a lot of people, especially in the afternoon when the cocktail specials are on. Now this could be good if you have older kids that can be left to their own devices however the kids pool is quite shallow and really designed for the little people, which is fabulous for them. And as we all know little people cry and laugh loudly, splash, fight etc etc, this is normal behaviour ( I will say that I didn't see any of the little kids being let to get out of hand, even the older kids had a watchful eye on them). It's just at times I could see the irritation on the faces of people sitting at the bar which I didn't really think was fair as it WAS the school holidays and it IS predominately the kids pool. We also saw the reverse happen where the adults who had already had a few too many jumped into the kids pool, splashing, yelling and rough housing. Which can be pretty intimidating and dangerous with small children in the water. It would be great if there could be more distinction between the kids and adults areas to prevent problems. Anyway these are just my thoughts from what we saw go on while we were there with our kids.Other than that the garden areas are beautiful, the sculptures were well admired, the fish pond and turtles were a huge hit with my children, especially when the food came out so they could be fed. My older two loved a few hours at the kids club while the baby was sleeping. The women here were just lovely and very good with the kids. I had one of the best massages at the Spa by Nanda (I think that was her name). She was incredibly good, really had a great knack for feeling out the knots and then getting rid of them. Oh and the beds in the room were really comfortable. I really loved and appreciated being sent a pillow selection prior to our stay.We really enjoyed our time at the Padma and we plan to return. I like to leave honest reviews so thought it was important to highlight those two issues that we experienced.

Totally Recommend
This was our 3rd stay at the Padma and can not recommend this place highly enough; breakfasts are great, service at the pool top class with an A1 location in Legian. We love the gardens and the fact when you are in the resort you are a world away from the hustle and bustle of Bali which is located a short stroll outside your door; no where else we would stay in Legian

Home away from home
The Padma Resort Bali is a great hotel to stay at as we have for many years now. The staff are fantastic the restaurants are second to none, and the rooms, facilities are relaxing and very well kept.Located in the hub of all the action and good shopping but still very private and quiet make this the ideal hotel to stay at for a relaxing rest and holiday highly recommended.
