Spring getaway
Nice Hotel. Great pool area with a bar right off the pool area. Bar area has covered cabanas with T.V's if you want to stay out of the sun. Rooms were clean and bright. End units have an extra window on the side so there is lots of light coming in. All rooms had a little kitchenette with coffee pot, microwave, stove and fridge. Included all plates and cutlery as well. Good value for the money.

Decent place, friendly staff, good location. (Not for couples seeking romance, though)
I don't go to Hawaii to sit around in my room, so as long as I have the basics, I'm happy. I was happy enough with this place. I wouldn't recommend this for couples on romantic getaways, though.If you can't afford to be directly on the beach, this is in a great location for you to quickly walk there or to the major hot spots in Waikiki. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. Some rooms DO have an ocean view (mine did, on the 17th floor) but I don't believe they sell them that way - ask about it when you check in like I did. The rooms are dated, but clean enough with nice flat screen TVs. One quirky thing - we had 14 rooms in my group, all the same room class, and we all had VERY different rooms. Mine was teeny (it was just me, I didn't care) - barely enough to fit a double bed and had a very tiny bathroom, but it did have a balcony. My co-worker's room next door also had a double bed but the room was DOUBLE the size of mine and situated at the corner of the building - had a huge, wrap-around balcony, two entire walls of windows, and a small kitchenette. Far cooler than my room, same price. Others in our group had king beds, larger rooms, some had views, some didn't. Ask for what you want when you arrive - the staff we spoke with were very friendly and accommodating. Expect to spend some time waiting for the elevator. They have three, but with 18 floors and an L-shape, there's a ton of people. It's not a big issue, just give yourself a few extra minutes if you have somewhere to be. Right across the street is an entrance to the International Marketplace. Great place to find cheap souvenirs and food. Across the street to the right of the building is a supermarket - which is great if you're on a budget. My room (has to be the smallest one) had a mini-fridge, so I'm guessing most, if not all, the rooms have one. All in all, I'd return. Can't beat the price for the location and class of hotel.

For the price this hotel is fair, but if you want a quiet, odorless, less annoying elevator wait.... Then pay a bit more closer
Upon arrival our first room reeked of mold and urine so we paid an extra $10/day for an "upgrade" which was a smaller room with a king instead of 2 doubles. No tub in either room. There was a 10 min wait for most elevators. 2 blocks off Waikiki beach on a noisy street with garbage trucks, bars and hookers... Super annoying. We really did get what we paid for. Average to below on a busy American island. Next time ill fork over a little more to be closer to the beach with a better setting. A big "meh" to this place. Great for an early 20s trip.

Get what u pay for
This hotel needs a total revamp. Walls are very thin so we could hear the people arguing at 3 am in the room beside us. Didn't feel safe as the lobby is a public thoroughfare to the bar under the hotel. Got caught in the lift with a drunk that the desk staff were finding extremely funny. Rooms are dirty and dated and the balcony has bird droppings on it. Staff at the front desk were helpful until we asked to see the manager who didn't appear to want to deal with us and continued to look at his watch whilst we were trying to explain to him that it was a health hazard to put the coffee maker on the toilet to use it. Would never stay there again at any price.

The Good, The Bad, The Ugly
We stayed at this hotel on our honeymoon. I was expecting the rooms to be a bit more nicer than they were but because we were trying to save money, it was ok.The Good: The Hotel is conveniently located to everything in the area. It is walking distance to the beach and several really nice restaurants. We had a small fridge, microwave, and 2 stove top coils, which I later found out the more expensive hotels do not have, plus it is a block away from the grocery store.The Bad: There was no way to do a late check-out without paying extra. Our flight left in the evening so we had to check out at normal time and give our luggage to the front desk. Lucky nothing was taken but that was just unsettling for my taste since I am used to just receiving a courtesy late check-out with no mention of extra fees tacked on the bill. Especially during non-peak season.The Ugly: The shower was the smallest I've ever seen in a hotel and it was absolutely gross with black spots and mildew around the cracks in the very old and crumbling tiles. It was disgusting. I would absolutely bring shower shoes or flip flops if your gonna staying here.I gave it an average rating because of the location and price but honestly, now that I know more about the area, I would look for a private owner renting a condo nearby. I think we could have done better on price with a lot nicer interior.
