Not completely happy
When I stayed at this hotel, although it was convenient for the airport, and a nice enough hotel.. it was not convenient for all the tours, and everything closer the main city. Also it seemed more expensive for some reason, then the second hotel we stayed... The staff and service were good, except one instance when we were unable to use the Sauna, apparently as we were not vietnamese.

Nice hotel near airport
As we had an early flight to catch we stayed here. The hotel is clean and breakfasts are impressive even at 6am. The staff are very helpful and HCM city centre is only a 15min taxi ride. It even has a small casino which is worth a look.

Great location for an overnight stay close to airport.
Great value, including free airport transfers even when our outbound flight was changed and it meant a 4.30am start. They even offered to provide us with a breakfast pack. Staff were helpful and friendly. Room was suitable, clean and all amenities provided. We didn't eat at the hotel as there were lots of local places to discover in the side streets.Would recommend if you need somewhere close to the airport.

Four star hotel?
Having been denied access to our flight, the airline (who will remain nameless) offered to compensate us, due to their error, by footing the bill at First Hotel for two nights. They informed us that this venue was a four star hotel. The hotel is situated on a busy roundabout approximately 15 minutes from Ho Chi Minh City airport, which for an overnight business trip would be ideal. The hotel was clean and the staff accommodating, although their English somewhat limited. Although the room was small and the bathroom even smaller, it also was clean and the bed comfortable. The food was, in my opinion, not what I would expect from a four star hotel, neither was the fact that although the hotel advertises that certain elements of the venue are located in its wings, suggesting a much grander building than what was. When in actual fact you had to exit the main building and cross an extremely busy road in order to access the swimming pool, restaurants, spa and fitness centre. Again, not what I expected of a four star hotel.Having experienced the pool area, although the pool itself looked very well maintained, the surrounding area appeared grubby and in need of refreshing. In conclusion, this hotel is ideal for a one night layover for the businessman. I cannot comment on the conference rooms, which it said were available for hire, as I did not experience these first hand.

An excellent hotel close to airport
This is a great hotel for a short stop near the airport. From our welcome drink to airport drop-off, staff were friendly and attentive. Rooms are clean and facilities are good. Two thumbs up to the 24 hour restaurant that caters to every form of jet lag!
