Too Hard too say good-bye!
We visit Beqa lagoon each year! At times bringing guests-groups of divers and at times just the two of us. Each time we are treated as royalty and have found that the rooms are clean and the food is outstanding! Our goal it to sail here some day and make it home for a few years. Fiji is such a wonderful place. I have looked at many of these reviews and some of the negative ones I just don't understand! I do believe some people will complain about whatever they can find to get a free room or a discount! It is sad to bring a place down to get your way. None of what was said is true in the least! The people employed here are the friendliest we have ever and will go out of their way to please and make your stay the best they can make it. We will be back in November and can hardly wait! TRIP OF A LIFETIME!
Glorious Adventure! Beqa far exceeded every expectation I had. If you are the uptight, need to connect to the internet every waking moment, and want everything you may be accustomed to in your home to work flawlessly then look elsewhere. If you can understand this to be a remote island with no cars, that ships in supplies from the mainland, no noise and villagers that work day and night to make your stay as pleasant as possible and can roll with the punches then book now! BLR is a place to check out, dive, relax, get a massage, hike, learn about the island and culture and shut down the noise of the world most of us live in. It is slow placed but highly organized in activities everyday. It is an outstanding setting with a house reef suitable for diving and snorkeling for the non-diver. You will see plenty of life snorkeling for sure. The bures are clean and comfortable. The staff is superior - the manager Mark and his wife Pauldi (sp?)' are doing a great job to make your stay memorable. We met lifelong friends and I plan to return soon. Take a moment and get to know the people, immerse yourselves in their culture and enjoy their company. You will not be disappointed. And by the way, yes, the diving is spectacular and do NOT miss the shark dive.....possibly do it twice or three times. ????

Great dive trip
Been to Beqa Lagoon resort 4 times and returning next year again. First went when it was Marlin Bay Resort and has been first class evey time. You will never meet more friendly people then the Fijin's and the resort was rated by SCUBA diving mag. as the top in the world can't wait to get back there. It is like home.

Beqa . Luxury on the path less travelled
Beqa Island is a short boat trip from Pacific Harbour and offers visitors to Fiji a ideal platform for diving , fishing etc. A 20 minute charter flight from Nadi International Airport ensures passengers arriving in Fiji can be in their room ( or on the beach ) around an hour after arriving in the Fiji Islands. Beqa Lagoon is locally owned and operated ensuring you experience the real Fiji .

Made friends for life!
My bf and I were traveling solo to Beqa Lagoon and I was a bit apprehensive after reading some of the reviews about big dive groups at the resort. But our group of 22 divers also traveled in small clusters and soon became a large group of friends who dined and dived together.As for the resort, Mark and Poldi(na) did a fantastic job in making everyone feel very welcome. Their stories about their travels were amazing and it was very nice that they shared them with guests each night at dinner.As far as the beachfront bures, we started out in bure 7 then switched to 4. All that I can say is that beachfront bures are not created equal. Request rooms 1-6. Those are the nicest ones. Seven was larger, but the furniture was older and the garden layout was not as beautiful.The dive staff was very competent - a far cry from my last trip to Taveuni - and took us to very beautiful and manageable dive sites.The shark dive was one of the most amazing dives I ever experienced. The sharks were so close. But I never felt any fear or concern. The dive masters knew how to corral the sharks and keep them happy - thus, not hungry.The staff was really sweet and almost invisible. They turned down the beds and lit candles while guests were eating dinner. They were all very friendly, as is the norm in Fiji.We did not do any of the tours. We walked to the waterfall by ourselves. And we skipped the school visit. But, as recommended, we brought pencils for the school children and sent them on with others from our group.In all, the stay was relaxing, exciting, invigorating and memorable.
