Hotel staffs and manager are very friendly and good service provided.this is first time staying Puri Saron Hotel. location is a bit far from crowded area such as Ubud/Kuta/Legian. If you look for relaxing place, this is the best choice.very good nature rice field and forest view. if you are lucky, you may see firefly during night easy.My family and me stayed with Puri Saron 2 nights. we are enjoying private 2 nights with one or two guests in whole hotel.we had one fantasy villa room and normal rooms with reasonable price. very nice balinese style interior. we love it.unfortunately, my bathroom water supply is not kinda good. hotelier needs to repair it ASAP.the overall rating is consider quite good.the foods in the hotel tasteful and reasonable price. we loved it all. suggestion to hotel, run convenience shop in the hotel will be best for in house guest to get some snack foods or sunblock and etc.and also provide shuttle service for in house guest to go to Ubud area or Kuta area.

Best way to describe in point form:Pros: Nice hotel, picturesque, lovely setting. Great for someone who just wants to beaway from everything.A couple of hotel staff were pleasant.Cons:1. First morning 100's Red Ants in Bathroom - the area got sprayed.2. 2nd morning again 100's of Red Ants gathered near bathroom. Area sprayed again. Room reeked of Raid for 2 days.3. We were the ONLY guests in hotel.4. 10 km from Ubed, expensive travelling back and forth, took 45 minutes each way.5. Hotel only provides transport at 10 am and back at 6pm. If you miss this deadline they charge for transport. Tried charging for transport because we arrived at reception 10.05am even tho we had "asked for transport at 9.15am for 10am".6. Breakfast provided was cold, took an hour once ordered - since we were only guests I guess the kitchen was not stocked. We tried supper one night, it was costly and barely palatable.7. We used the hotel swimming pool once - both of us started itching and skin went red after 20 minutes in the pool. We went to our room to rinse off quickly. We are used to swimming in a chlorinated pool, however, this experience we had made us nervous.8. Hotel Manager, I assume he was, was pushy about booking tours from the Hotel. but their tour prices were expensive compared to booking similar tours in Ubed. He was decidely not too friendly when we did not book any tours through them.Conclusion, the time and money it cost to travel to Ubed for shows, museums, trips,from the hotel and back could be utilized to get a very decent pleasant hotel right in Ubed.Met people in Ubed who where very happly with their hotel and service for less than wepaid at this one.

We stayed in one of the villa's for three nights and had a wonderful stay. The staf was very friendly and helpful. Meals are served in the villa if you want. The villa it self is beautiful. It has two stocks and two terraces with view on the jungle and swimmingpool. It's about 10 km from Ubud but transport can be arranged easily. From Puri Saron we arranged a bike tour with Bali Breeze Tours which we can highly recommend.

I haven't had a habit of writing hotel reviews, but this one finally inspired me to start. I had booked for 4 days, but left after 2. FIRST, THE GOODA remote resort in the middle of a secluded area in central Bali for only 65 usd/night surrounded by rice terraces, many Hindu temples and ceremonies, and friendly faces everywhere. But the airport taxi had to stop 5 times along the way to ask for directions in the 2.5 hr drive to the hotel. While this was disconcerting, people along the way were always able to point the driver in the right direction.- The staff were generally polite and moderately helpful- The free shuttle to Ubud was thoughtful- Dinner was available late at 11:30pm- Rooms were spacious, huge balcony, much privacy and solitude, great spacing between the rooms- Beautiful surroundings CHALLENGES- Room was moldy and dusty, suggesting inadequate cleaning- No hot water. It was a struggle and common complaint among other guestsrequesting to turn on the hot water. Hotel reception kept repeating to 'let it run for 15 more min' but it rarely got beyond luke warm. My sense was that they only turned it on when guests demanded. While I'm all for energy conservation, there are better ways-- operationally and with respect to guest communication-- to accomplish this. - Dusty and ill-fitting mosquito net with spiders and cob webs in corners. It was so ill-fitting that it left 4 fist-sized holes at each corner where the corner posts were supposed to fit. - Creeky bed, and getting on and off would cause more dust to fall from mosquito net giving me allergies- In the bathroom, they provided a dirty comb that suggested it had been used- No internet in room, no wifi anywhere. Just a single old computer behind reception area was available when it was not being used for admin tasks- The only spare outlet was in bathroom, luckily I brought a power strip and unplugged the tv- The room design was a bit odd. For instance, there was a 2nd door right next to the main door. But the 2nd door had a flimsy lock and it was just as easy and convenient to use as main door. Hence, not great for security. Actually, speaking of security, the room's security deposit box wasn't fully functional (several keys weren't working). - I'd rate the room as 3 stars if it were clean and well maintained, definitely not 4 stars- Reception team was generally very nice, but not fully professional and sometimes absent, e.g. filling in their own invoicing forms wrong
