Beauty and friendliness to the fullest
It's definitely one of the best places to stay on Bali if you are looking for a splendid, tranquil and well kept bungalow resort on the island. The professionalism and friendliness of the staff and the management is outstanding in every kind. Our nice pool bungalow in traditional balinese style was well kept and properly cleaned every day. The receptionist even guided me personally for treatment to a local doctor as I was suffering of back pain. The chef of the kitchen fulfilled us twice our own wishes of local dishes and prepared some delicious dinners for us. The quality of the kitchen is outstanding and, believe it or not, one of the best you can get on Bali, both for local as well as western food. The dishes are prepared and served with so much care, aroma and taste that I tend to call it art. As it was raining most of the time of our stay we enjoyed the in-house SPA several times and were both treated by professional hands. The huge garden opposite the small river parting the resort got wonderful additions with a new, very inviting Bal¿¿ for reading and an open kitchen for cooking classes (highly recommended if you plan to improve your cooking skills from a master). Being treated like kings for 8 days it made it very hard to leave at the end. Pity the rainy season in January was too hard this time, else we would have stayed 3 weeks as planned. But .... we will definitely get back to Plataran. Thank you very much for that outstanding hospitality.

Paradise Found
My wife and I took the opportunity to escape from our home in Bali for a few days over the period of Nyepi day of silence. Plataran resort was superb in every way from start to finish, it met every expectation and more. An oasis of calm, surrounded by beautifully manicured tropical gardens, simply stunning.The villa was amazing ( no 9), complete with all amenities that you would need in a home from home. The bedroom area was spacious, with tasteful interior design,traditional alang alang thatched roof and well chosen furniture to give an air of colonial chic. The bed was sumptuous with crisp white linen. The outdoor bathroom was particularly nice with small garden area complete with a large bath, and quality shower fittings. The interior bathroom was well equipped his and hers sinks, dressed with a range of very fragrant good quality soaps, body lotions etc.Walking out onto the large verandah from the bedroom area gives a stunning view of the private pool below and the lush green gardens that border a small stream at the villa boundary. Although we did make use of our smaller private pool in the morning and evening it was nice to use the larger main swimming pools of which there are two to choose from. During our stay these were not busy, and pretty much had the pool to ourselves. As other customers have commented ,you do feel that you have the whole of the grounds to yourself at times, just you and nature, which is a refreshing change to be away from the constant drone of traffic and pollution of other areas that are a mere 20 minutes drive away. The location for the benefit of new visitors to Bali is great, its far from being isolated and for those like ourselves that still like to party then the better clubs on the island are within a 10 minute taxi ride to Petitenget. Many Fine dining restaurants are also located in this area and Oberoi. However the restaurant at Plataran is excellent if you are not inclined to venture far from your villa. We had a special package deal for our two night stay which included breakfast, lunch and dinner. Every meal was delicious, and the waiters were all very polite and attentive.Needless to say we will be taking that 15 minute drive from home to check in again later this year for another little treat to ourselves.Thank you to all the staff at Plataran for making us feel at home, you are the main ingredient of what makes your resort GREAT ! See you again soon.

Peaceful Bliss
My girlfriend and I stay for 10 days in Paradise lost, all the positive reviews for this resort are accurate and only by going there yourself will you discover as we did "peaceful bliss.We purchased a Groupon voucher with every email and request dealt with quickly with no fuss, the staff are wonderful and nothing is to hard for you to enjoy your stay.The Villa we had was perfect (Villa 12) and we spent most of our time soaking in the private pool, the grounds are beautiful and you feel like you are the only people in the estate, truly special.We would like to thank all staff on site for making our stay memorable and ferrying enough ice for our drinks to sink a small ship, we truly fealt like time stood still for us and wish we were still there.

beautiful, green, peaceful and very quite resort
We agree with others positive reviews about this resort. My first impression is the service was excellent. The service was wonderful, especially the receptionist. Her service was quick, efficient and warm hearted. They also gave me a quick response from the first time I emailed them. They were very accomodating and attentive. We definitely also enjoyed our villa. We stayed in villa no.14. It was true that the villa was hidden away, very quiet and we didn¿¿¿t met any other guests, except when we had breakfast in the restaurant. Our villa was big with an excellent quality of audio equipment, a huge beautiful outdoor bathroom, a big verandah and a small private pool. All the furnitures were rustic. The garden was beautiful and green everywhere. We loved the ambience¿¿¿.so natural, so peaceful. The sound of crickets and Balinese song at night added the magic ambience that you couldn¿¿¿t find in crowded kuta or legian. The small things they should improve are ¿¿¿the sign boards to the resort¿¿¿ and ¿¿¿the light in the pathway¿¿¿. We drove our rented car and found it was difficult to find the place. The sign boards along kerobokan street were too small, not in a strategic position and not eye catching¿¿¿and not a lot of people know about the resort. I also agree with other review that the pathways in the resort were pretty dark at night. It made us a little uncomfortable walking in the night. Other than that, my stay there was wonderful. My husband really wants to be back with our family.

Honeymoon Stay
We won accommodation at Plataran Bali Resort and Spa through the Queensland Bridal Expo. The resort is amazing and when you are in your villa you feel like you are the only people there. The staff were absolutely amazing - so polite and nothing was too much trouble - a vast change from most of the staff in resorts / hotels in Australia as you received VIP treatment. We would definitely recommend Plataran to anyone heading to Bali and look forward to staying with them again when we next travel to Bali.
