Mediocre Hotel
So I didn't really know what I was expecting. The Hotel is nice from the outside but that's about it. I am giving it 2 star (instead of 1) because I should have known better. The prices are very cheap (by US standards) but it doesn't come with much. The A/C unit in our room was dripping and the beds were hard. We were not impressed.

Good value for money
The hotel was good value for money. Staff provided good service. Try to request rooms that have already been refurbished as old rooms were very dark and dated.Families with old people and young kids might have problems with the bath tub as it was too high to get in and out . The shower head did not have enough pressure & took a long time to shower due to the small volume of water.

NEVER AGAIN!!!
Tried to 'dine in' at the restaurant 3 times. First night, mixed up our orders. Second night, meals were cold. Third night, worst 'steak' I have ever encountered. Could not cut it!! Very poor English from staff. No one to complain to. (We were the only 2 people in said restaurant on each occasion)!! At checkin, tried to place us in 'superior' room instead of 'deluxe room' (which we paid for). Wanted to keep our Passports as security too. Lousy location for restaurants for Westerners. Excellent bus service right outside the front door to Dong Khoi area though. 4,000 vnd each way. Breakfast was average, but worse was watching the Chinese 'guests' load up THEIR plates, leaving the dishes on offer almost depleted. Then they would pick at a few things and leave the rest. (They would take all the bread and eat one piece. Same with the fruit, etc., etc.). VERY ARROGANT!!!!! Sorry, Never again at Dong Khanh!!!

Very helpful staff
We stayed here for a few nights at the start and at the end of our trip. The staff there are very helpful and very patient with any request that we had. Alvis was especially helpful and a very friendly fella at that. Although the hotel is a bit far from district 1 it's only a $4 taxi ride into the city. Beds a tad hard but didn't lose any sleep because of it. Overall a great experience.

Nice Hotel with friendly people
The biggest surprise which was offerred to me on the arrival, I have found myname as the Guest of the day written on a big Board close to the front Desk.Hotel is a bit far from City Center, but close also to other Restaurants and shoppingMarkets. The Restaurant is often used for Wedding receptions so it is another advantageto watch the ceremonies and listen to the music
