Second stay, very happy again
We stayed at Holiday Inn Glenmarie around 1 year ago and recently returned again as we had enjoyed our stay so much last time. We were not disappointed, and it was so nice to see many of the same staff members we encountered last time. Our room was lovely and spacious with a huge balcony overlooking the golf course, we had dinner in The Mix which is really more of a nightclub/bar but the food was fantastic! Thought we would try it as we tried all the other restaurants on our last stay and am so glad we decided to give The Mix a go. We went early in the evening and it was pretty quiet, but the staff were very friendly and attentive - they even helped entertain our kids whilst we ate. Our kids loved spending time at the pool, there is a good sized kids pool at the hotel. The hotel is located close to Subang airport making it very convenient, even if it is not close to much else. The hotel does offer a free shuttle service to nearby shopping areas and the city on weekends but we didn't use this service this time. We will definetely be back.

Mixed feeling
We stayed here for 3D2N because we wanted to celebrate my daughter's birthday. We opted for the school holiday package, a king bed room with FOC extra bed, breakfast for 2 adults & 2 kids, FOC minibar & FOC WiFi. We stayed in Room 409. Here goes the review:1. During the booking, we asked for a room with balcony. We got what we asked for. 2. During check in, the staff was very friendly & welcoming but no cold towel or welcome drink offered. 3. Room was clean with huge balcony overlooking the golf course. A few minutes after we sat down, the staff who checked us in called & asked if there was anything else we need. In less than 10 minutes, they sent the extra bed & a small birthday cake for my daughter. 4. The bed & pillows were heavenly. The air-condition worked well & so did the WiFi. But the water pressure was low. During our 2nd day stay, the mirror suddenly came off the wall. Made a call to the reception & a few minutes later a technician came & fixed it. The reception staff was apologetic. 5. Now, if there's one thing this hotel want to improve, they should look at the pool. The pool area was clean but the pool itself is in time for renovation (refer to my photos). There was no pool service. No staff to be seen when we wanted to order drinks. During one of my stay in another 5* property, we were amazed with the pool service. Iced water & fruits were sent to us as soon as we sit down. Holiday Inn should do this too. 6. Breakfast. They have a dedicated area for Priority Club Member. We really appreciated this. We can even take away sandwiches & they provide paper bag. During the 1st morning, an Indian girl served us. She was very friendly & accommodating. Forgot to ask for her name though. She greeted me with my first name on our 2nd day for breakfast. We daughters loved the Lassi they provided on the 1st day, so during the 2nd day when the Lassi was no where to be seen we asked for it. The chef then went to the kitchen & handed 2 bottle of Lassi for my girls. 7. Food was great. We loved the small muffin (should have taken a few more during the breakfast). Coffee though was a bit lukewarm but tasted nice. 8.We asked for late check out & was granted until 3pm. The check out was smooth. The same lady who checked us in asked about our stay & then bid farewell. It was worth the penny but they should really improve the pool.

Not just for business
I stay in many hotels globally and my expectations were that this one was going to be much like all the other holiday inns I have been in before........ I was wrong, from the outset and once I had gone through the industrial style surrounding area I drove up to a hotel which was extremely pleasing on the exterior and sat in some delightfully green areas. No problem with parking the car directly opposite and walked into a large open reception whereupon I was greeted efficiently, politely and in a friendly manner. As I was in the priority club I was allocated a room that gave access to a lounge area which was away from the general hustle and bustle and offered complimentary drinks and snacks. The room was spacious, clean and offered all the expected facilities of bath, shower, nice sink etc. The Internet performed well and I could work on a desk that gave plenty of room. I had a mini bar, iron, safe, decent TV and a lovely view over the golf course. I have no idea if the golf course was any good as I don't play but it was sometimes amusing to watch others miss the hole!!. Breakfast was a very good experience and offered a variety of dishes both usual and unusual. On a number of occasions I had buffet dinner in the Kites restaurant, good value at 80 MYR as it offered varying international styles so I could experiment to my hearts content on food that was tasty, well cooked and a delight to the eye. It is only around 40 minutes to KLIA and around 30 minutes to my place of work in Port Klang. Be aware of the traffic at peak times as the jams can be horrendous. All in all a hotel which I can recommend for both business, family and couples.

Awesome.....
A nice room facing the golf course. Bogus to all the staff for an excellent service. Check in was smooth.....breakfast buffet i gave 5star for it. Staff with the sincere smile on their face. Keep up the spirit....

Nice Hotel
I've stayed in this hotel countless times, I keep coming back because I like the location that's its on the other side of the Federal Highway (mean not so traffic jam prone).The room is always clean, cool aircon, great powerful shower but inadequate WiFi that prone to dropping off. The staff are all generally friendly and nice, especially those at Kites Restaurant which i go for my breakfast daily.My last stay from 24 Apr to 3 May was for 10 nights. However I'm not very pleased with the Priority Club membership as it was shown as NON-QUALIFYING NIGHTS for the 10 nights. I'm very very upset, If I don't get my Loyalty Points, then I will never be loyal to this hotel and her sister hotels again.What is the point of staying for 10 nights paying normal rates at MYR 300+++ and not getting any loyalty points for being loyal ? This really upset me alot.
