A Right Wrong Turn
I happened to make a wrong left turn on Flamingo Street from the strip and ended up 'discovering' the Gold Coast Hotel/Casino. What a super nice surprise! A very pleasant atmosphere as you walk in.It seems that there are a lot of "regulars" who go there and like it, as other customers tell mewhile chitchatting on the elevator. The rooms are a great value, comfortable, clean and neat, not that small, no unpleasant odors. The reception employees I spoke with were polite and friendly. It's not the blaring glitz of a strip hotel but a nice change of pace and still fun.The buffet is nice, very good quality for the price and a lot to choose from even if you're health conscious. I've stayed there a few times and will gladly be going back again.

Gold Coast Hotel and Casino Good Value
Older hotel. Provides a shuttle to the strip. Pool closes at 6 pm which I didn't like. Comfortable beds and great room rates. If you want a lot access to activities and night life, stay on the strip or on Fremont. Otherwise, the other locations are somewhat low-key.

OK, good staff
I was used to better Vegas rooms but this was close to the regional office I was going to. The room was smaller than most vegas rooms but fine for what I needed. Just laminate counters and the carpet could stand to be replaced though. They looked to be redoing the first floor when I was there so perhaps they are working on remodeling. The price was excellent and TGI Fridays is a great restaurant that doesn't break the bank. And their drink prices were lots better! The staff was very friendly but I found myself missing the glitz of your usual Vegas hotel. Rooms were quiet except sometimes I could hear doors slamming pretty hard. They have free shuttle service to the strip every 15 minutes which was really nice.

1st Time & Loved it!
Needed a place to stay while in Vegas for the Bon Jovi Concert in April. Gold Coast is part of the B Connected properties so we gave it a try. We always look for hotel/casinos off of the Strip. It's next door to the Rio & across the street from the Palms. A short walk & you're at either one. Pleasantly surprised by the newly decorated & very clean room & bathroom. Check in & check out were both quick & easy. Everyone that works there is friendly & helpful. The casino has everything on the property...restaurants, gift shop, pool. They have a very nice & big keno lounge. We play live keno while playing the machines & the keno people gave us drink tickets to use at the bar everytime we played 5 games of keno. So we took our tickets to the bar later & had some very nice top brand pina coladas & martinis while we chateed with the very nice bartenders & watched basketball on one of their many TVs. We will definitely stay at the Gold Coast again.

Great off-strip hotel at a great price!
Wanted an inexpensive hotel near the strip after the weekend, and discovered this one. Was pleasantly surprised by nice room decor. Clean, roomy and nice big bathroom. Next to the pool, which was cozy and small, mostly for tanning and taking a dip- no volleyball playing here! Fast check in, easy check out, TGIF on site, $1 bowling, $1 beers- free parking, free shuttles to the strip, Rio less than 2 minute walk away- would definitely stay again.
