Staying there as chaperone for a marching band. Place is great, across the street from Waikiki Beach, close to great stuff; including international marketplace, great food, Diamond Head area, and Zoo. Definitely would come back. Staff is very nice too.

Above average
This hotel was in a great location. The beach was right across the street and stores lined the streets. It was about 11 am and we were able to choose from 2 full size beds or 1 queen. We chose the queen. We did not get an ocean view. The room was pretty small and the bathroom could barely fit 2 people in front of the bathroom mirror. The bed and pillows were comfy and there was a mini fridge. The highlight was the bath and body works shampoo/conditioner/lotion, because they smelled so good! I will say that I was a little surprised that the extra drinking glasses and coffee maker were in the bathroom. It just seems like those items shouldn't be in there, but I guess there wasn't much space to put it anywhere else. A big downside was the $25 resort fee, but it included 1 free Mai tai among a few discounts to stores. Self parking was $32/night and valet was $37/night. This place was definitely for those who like the city life that's walking distance to the beach and shopping and packed with tourists. But if you want the Hawaii quiet relaxing feel, I don't think you will find that here.

Great Location!
I booked this hotel due to a conference I was attending. While I did not get a chance to enjoy many of the resort activities, the pool and other areas were very inviting. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Our rooms were comfortable and clean. I also enjoyed the close proximity to the beach and other nearby attractions.

Relaxing place to stay even tho in the middle of Waikiki!
We stayed 3 nights at this location this past spring. We were accommodated with adjoining rooms as we were traveling with family. We had only asked to be on the same floor. That was a plus we had not expected. I have read some of the other reviews but did not find any of the issues stated. Everyone from the front desk, valets, operator and maintenance employees were kind, pleasant, and helpful. Our rooms were very clean (a must for us) and even our balconies were swept and tables and chairs cleaned. The rooms were typical Marriott decor.What we especially liked about this Marriott is the 3rd floor pool, spa and pool bar and restaurant. We could relax and swim while viewing the ocean without all the crowds. The ocean and beach was directly across the street. We had the best of both opportunities - the beach or the pool. The valet employees were very helpful and pleasant. We were in and out a lot during our stay and not once did we feel pressured to tip. Of course we did. One of our trips back to the hotel we had to find the valet person to give him a tip!. We did not enjoy Waikiki and all the craziness that seems to be a part of the area but we greatly enjoyed the hotel and its convenience. We have recommended this hotel several times since our stay.

Honeymoon review
My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon. The staff were friendly and the food was nice. The hotel is in a great location towards the end of the strip and the beach is on your doorstep so we could not ask for anything more. As soon as we arrived at the hotel we were greeted with friendly staff who also managed to upgrade our room to a ocean view. The rooms are very clean and the maids are fab at doing the job that they are meant to do. The pool area is clean and family friendly but likewise if you want to take some individual time out you can relax at the bubble pool. The bathroom was very functional and clean and the balcony was also great to chill out on as the day came to a close as you could see the sunset alongside the hotels along the beach front. Deffo try and get a ocean view room if you were to stay here. We travelled here in July 2011 although there is no option to select this. We did not have breakfast here or use the SPA or gym.
