Excellent stay at the Palms Ivory Tower...
We recently had a great hotel experience at the Palms. We live in Phoenix and travel to LV several times each year; we are extremely picky about hotel accommodations and have stayed in many if not most of the 4 and 5 star resorts on the Strip. We specifically secured a corner King Premier room in the recently renovated Ivory Tower. The room was spotless and spacious with stunning Strip views from North as well as East facing windows. The updated d¿¿cor is colorful and quite modern. The bed was absolutely dreamy and the funky free-style shaped mirror on the ceiling above the bed was fun and a ¿¿¿naughty¿¿¿ Vegas touch. Great fluffy pillows! The bathroom was nicely redone with an open concept shower and plenty of thirsty fluffy towels. Bath products were decent and plentiful. Note: There are no bathtubs in the standard rooms in the Ivory Tower. Check-in process was polite and prompt. Valet and bell service was excellent. The Palms is off the strip but they do offer a complimentary shuttle service to the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace up to 8:00 p.m. A cab ride to the strip will cost approximately $10 to $16 each way dependent upon traffic. You can walk but it¿¿¿s a long one on a very busy street and across a major freeway.We did not use the pool but it looked clean and well tended. It¿¿¿s a party pool and the music is LOUD. There appeared to be plenty of lounge chairs available during the time we were there (during the week).Casino is small but nice with plenty of slots and prompt and polite cocktail servers. Great bars and restaurants on site as well. If you enjoy a perfect steak and don¿¿¿t want to leave the property try N9NE. It¿¿¿s excellent and worth every penny. If you are looking for romantic dining with a view try Alize on the top floor; also pricy but worth it. There is a food court and a movie theater attached to the casino for quick cheap eats. I think several of the vendors are open 24 hours.Note: Best show in Vegas right now is Absinthe @ Caesars. Definitely for adults only; truly entertaining and amazing ¿¿¿ check it out.Have Fun ¿¿¿ Viva Vegas!

Consistently terrific
I LOVED THIS PLACE. Room was big, beautifully decorated (if not overly upscale). Bed was comfortable, elevators were fast, parking was easy. Casino was perfect size with wide array of machines and ample game tables. Staff was well-trained, helpful and appropriately friendly. My checkin (unlike other reviewers experience) was perfect. Upgraded and bed choice immediately accommodated. Only downside was the food choice at the Bistro Buffet. Reasonably priced, for sure...but jut average food selection and quality. All-in-all, I'd stay again in a minute.

Enjoyed staying at the Palms, room was nice!
Yes the room was clean and presentable, up to date and very comfortable! I loved the jacuzzi tub! Only thing I would say is the bathroom needed some small upkeep, the towel rack kept falling off the wall whenever we put a towel up to dry.

Very dissapointing
We spent only one night at the Palms, and thank goodness for that. First, a long line to check in greeted us, even though we arrived at 11 pm. The front desk couldn't be less efficient if they tried. Second, it turned out that even though we booked and confirmed the room for 4 people, we were "upgraded" (read bumped due to overbooking) to a ONE-bed room. The room was spacious for a couple, but not very comfortable for four people. We tried to reason with the front desk but all we got was an explanation that booking online does not guarantee your reservation. Fine, but when you pay forward for four people, you expect the hotel to accomodate a place to sleep for all of them. Finally, their solution for the problem was a rollaway, which was supposed to be queen size. The rollaway came after an hour and turned out to be a twin with no pillows. Back to front desk, after 15 minutes hold, the lady promised a second rollaway. Three hours later, after multiple phone calls, it finally arrived. No apology. Other than that, pillows and towels had makeup smudges (don't think they were actually changed) and of course a "resort charge" of $22 was added to our bill (I think this is actually hotwire's fault for not informing about it), so don't be tempted by the low online rate. The hotel is actually quite far from the Strip (about 2 miles), it is walkable, but not for everyone.
