Aged Hotel
You pretty much can tell this hotel is old just from the elevator. The room is nothing to write home about. But since we needed just an overnight stay it was all right. The staff were very nice and accommodating. The owner really need to do some renovating. But we know that's not going to happen. The area is not great. Hookers do come out at night. Lots of traffic passing by. I enjoyed the late night bar. Bartender was very friendly. And for the time of night we arrived, the food was still great!

Great affordable Hotel!
This hotel is fantastic for the price compared to many we looked at in Waikiki. The hotel itself is a bit dated but has everything you need if your not planning to spend all day sitting in your room! Nice pool area & heated spa were a bonus. The location is good. Very close to the main drag & beach. There is a tour desk in the reception with the most lovely & helpful lady who helped us book shows & tours. Breakfast is included & very basic. The only negative to comment on would be, because of the older style of the hotel, our balcony door didn't lock very well.. could be a security issue but these things are bound to pop up with an ageing building. We found there were a lot of middle age- older people staying here.. the general vibe was really casual & cruisey. Lots of people down at the bar at all times. Every one was friendly. Good holiday feel without the big price tag!

very good for a budget hotel, good location
I was looking for an inexpensive hotel to store my luggage for a day so I didn't expect much. However, I thought the hotel was very good for the price. I have no idea what the other reviewer means by "paperless toilet". It had a normal bathroom. However, you did need to use your key to turn on the lights. The people who worked here were all very nice. The view out my window was poor since I looked over a neighboring apartment building. However, past that was a nice view of a lake. If I needed to save money, I'd stay at this hotel again. It was a short walk to the beach and right in the heart of all the other activities. My room had a twin bed and a full size bed. The room seemed dated, but clean. The room next to ours had two twin beds and a full size. This would be nice for a couple with two children. (They also have kitchenette rooms.) They also had a decent hospitality room that we were able to use before check-in. It had couches, computers, a woman's bathroom with shower, and men's bathroom with shower. This was handy for us since we just walked off a cruise ship. If you're looking for something fancy, this is not the place. However, if you're looking for a good value and a place to sleep, store your stuff, and shower while you explore Hawaii, then this might be an excellent place.

DONT STAY HERE
just got back from Honolulu, stayed here suppose to be 5 night but ended up changing hotel due to harrasment from the Manager of the security.. I have a a visitor from my hotel.. dont know the policy of the hotel that u cant have visitor in your room..... He totally told me in that he can evict me and not to question him cause he was manager, to find out only manager of security and a valet who expect to have tips.. Im sorry but you are out of control.. he make me feel so uncomfortable during my stay everytime im in the lobby using the internet.. the internet inb the room is so slow , you have to go to the lobby to get a faster connection. This guyis the rudest person i met.. You work for customer service you should know better. I didnt get the name of the guy, Manager of the security. word of advice to you....we are the one thats why you have a job so be thankful.. respect the guest.. The management is aware who is this guy...Very Bad Experience....

Waikiki Sand Villa
This property needed to be updated badly Yet it still proved to be a nice and relaxing place! If you are a "Green" type of person this is a very energy saving hotel from the Key card being required to turn power on to the "paperless" toilet! The pool area was very relaxing and we ate our free toast and pineapple breakfast there in the mornings. As far as location it was a short walk to the beach or International market place. If you like early morning walks as we do you are right next to the Ali Wai canal and can walk its walk free of street crossing. Customer service was great as was the little Bar/ cafe onsite. We would return there again!
